Functional Description

Decision Science colleagues will serve as a key member of the Credit and Fraud Risk organization. We seek a thought-leader and a problem-solver who can blend business, technical, and industry best practices when it comes to developing the analyses, models, and algorithms that power our customers’ digital experiences.

This team is responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking AI/ML models for driving enterprise digital personalization in prospect marketing and automating data capability and model governance.

Our Decision Science teams use industry leading modeling and AI practices to predict customer behavior. We develop, deploy and validate predictive models and support the use of models in economic logic to enable profitable decisions across credit, fraud, marketing and servicing optimization engines.

The role will entail some of the below listed responsibilities:

• Work with massive amounts of digital data (Web, App, API) and sophisticated tools in an industry leading Big Data environment.
• Build everything from basic reports to advanced machine learning models and algos to drive improvements to our customer’s online and mobile app experiences.
• Work with product owners to revolutionize the product and content design with a data-driven approach
• Collaborate with tech partners to test, implement and deploy modeling solutions to production system.
• Develop insights into customer behavior and introduce new approaches to transform complex behavioral data into actionable information

Minimum qualifications and skills required across role types are highlighted below:

• Masters/PhDs in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operation Research etc.) with hands-on experience leveraging sophisticated analytical and machine learning techniques.
• Expertise in an analytical language (Python, R or the equivalent), and experience with databases (Hive, SQL, or the equivalent). Knowledge of SAS is a plus but not required.
• Deep understanding of machine learning/statistical algorithms such as deep learning and boosting. Experience with data visualization is a plus
• Minimum 3 year of experience in marketing modeling
• Demonstrated ability to frame business problems into mathematical programming problems, leverage external thinking and tools (from academia and/or other industries) to engineer a solution and deliver business insights

Details of the Job:

• Oversees the Fleet Systems team, which is distributed among all Global offices and External Consultants, to ensure cooperation and synergy.
• All software, dashboards, and other software related to the Technical Department ERP fall within the purview of the Fleet Systems Team. IT security, user login, platform infrastructure deployment & support, database management, vessel & shore database sync, and ERP process documentation are not included in the scope of work, which is limited to software vendor liaison, business user requirement development, software data / systems support to shore and vessels, upgrades management, help file creation, training material development, and data analysis tools development. These tasks will be handled by Corporate IT and Ship IT teams. Communicate with third-party solution providers or ERP vendors to ensure end users have the necessary tools.
• ShipNet 1 for PMS, Procurement, Drydocking, Document Management (Document SE), Ship Inspection (ShipInspect); Mariapps for Crewing; SAIL for HSEQ/Vetting; PowerBI dashboards; E&E team dashboards; and other minor software are among the maritime operations-focused software programmes. In order to convert paper-based management systems into digital systems, a thorough understanding of marine equipment, equipment types, models, and manufacturers, maintenance procedures and schedules, drydocking project procedures, budget management, marine procurement procedures, oil major requirements, and crewing procedures is required.
• In charge of assisting all technical department teams in their analysis of business processes and conversion of company objectives into precise software specifications. By means of business process analysis and advice, work with the Technical, Marine, HSEQ, Vetting, Purchase, Crewing, and E&E teams to determine the Technical ERP needs and Change Requests. Make Change Request Specifications and submit them to the Business User for approval.
• Overall in charge of developing and improving the technical ERP at a reasonable cost and obtaining the necessary financial clearances.
• Coordinate with the ERP IT, Vessel IT, and Technical ERP Vendor teams to implement Change Request project milestones and timeframes, suggest requirements for infrastructure and resources, and report senior management on status. Complete the updates and new procedures after consulting with the relevant teams. Ensure that workflows, software functioning, approval procedures, and alert encoding are all correct. Make sure that the training materials are created and that the effects of the change requests on the ongoing ERP operations are properly documented. To make sure the product meets standards, conduct UAT product testing in coordination with the ERP IT / Vessel IT teams, Technical & Purchase teams, and other relevant teams. Impact the go-live deployment for both shore and marine systems, as well as end user familiarisation and training.
• Support the ERP IT and Vessel IT teams by collaborating directly with them to guarantee IT platform business user support, system development, and uninterrupted operation.
• In charge of creating development progress updates and properly documenting the procedures used by the Technical ERP Procurement module as of right now. Making help files for the daily tasks of end users on land and in boats.
• In charge of internal or external consultants developing the technical department dashboards.
• As directed by supervisors and/or the Technical Director, provide the Technical Department with general help in creating business analytical processes and data analysis tools.
• Overall in charge of all Support Ticketing programme (ITMS) inquiries from shore end users and ships pertaining to the Fleet Systems team. Make sure that tickets are escalated to third-party vendors' ticketing systems. Track the progress of all tickets and examine them to find long-term fixes that would minimise faults or failures. Every Fleet Systems ticket must be allocated, processed, and settled promptly while maintaining a particular standard of service.
• In charge of routinely following up with ERP and software vendors on escalated tickets. Analyse the Quality of Service (QoS) provided by vendors and monitor their progress. Arrange frequent meetings with suppliers to talk about ways to improve the quality of the services.
• Take part in the twice-yearly Management Review Meeting (MRM) to present the accomplishments of Fleet Systems, along with a progress report, future roadmaps, and an ITMS ticket analysis.
• Developing and managing policies and guidelines for the use of any newly acquired software.
• Work along with the L&D team to create ERP training materials for ships and shore personnel.
• Offer shore technical ERP end users training and technical support.
• Support vessels provide initial familiarisation training to ship staff and subsequently refresher training as needed.
• Assist the corporate IT team with diagnostic testing, performance optimisation, latency issues, data synchronisation between the ship and the land, and other troubleshooting as needed.
• Help and work together with the Corporate IT and Vessel IT teams to create User Profiles, configure technical ERP applications, interface with other ERP systems inside the company, and write customised scripts and programmes as needed.
• Complying with industry rules and corporate policy.
• Staying up to date with the most recent Technical ERP releases and enhancements.
• Any additional responsibilities that supervisors or the technical director may delegate to teams working on shore and on vessels regarding ERP projects, development, implementation, and user testing

Requirements:

• • Prior experience in the maritime sector providing technical assistance for the establishment of technical ERP on LNG and ethylene vessels.
  • Solid understanding of maritime technical operations
  • An information technology degree or a related degree.
  • Two years of experience supporting or consulting on ERP business systems.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office and adept with computer tools. Possessing SQL and PowerBI experience is advantageous.
  • The capacity to operate autonomously in a fast-paced setting with strict deadlines and to communicate clearly in English with all staff levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities.
  • Results-oriented and a strong team player.
