Responsibilities

Key tasks include:

1. Manage the Pulau Ubin Micro-grid project;
2. Oversee and manage project management and grant administration efforts for R&D projects, including to:
   1. Monitor project progress, manage project virement and variation requests, ensure the timely submission of audit and progress reports by grantees, check and process claims submitted by grantees, and check and process invoices raised by Finance for disbursement of grant funding to grantees;
   2. Support the department in providing updates to relevant agencies on budget projections, project progress, and funding utilisation for R&D funds;
   3. Work with Finance to streamline grant administration and project management processes, including exploring the use of digital tools and data analytics to support these efforts;
   4. Improve EMA's grants governance processes; including ensuring that EMA's Grant Management Handbook adheres to NRF's guidelines, and updating the Handbook where necessary; and
3. Support the department's efforts to develop a grid capability roadmap, to identify the grid capabilities needed to support the Singapore Energy Transition and develop strategies to achieve them. This includes organising and supporting workshops and meetings where needed.

What are my responsibilities?

• Integration of the procurement function in customer bid and execution projects along the PM@Siemens life cycle as “Sub-Project Manager Procurement” (starting from PM020 at the latest):
• Identify, involve, integrate, and manage all relevant procurement functions for a customer bid or project (i.e. Global Category Management, Supplier Quality Management, Regional Procurement, etc.)
• Act as prime interface to/for the customer bids or projects key business partners and procurement (incl. i.e. milestone meetings, risk workshops, kick-off meetings, project-related procurement reviews, escalations, etc.)

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• At least a bachelor's degree in engineering/business/accounting / other related fields
• 7-10 years of experience in strategic purchasing /category management or project management preferably in the engineering industry
• Experience in strategic purchasing /category management or project management in rail signaling equipment including cables, point machines, telecommunication, and subcontract installation a plus
• Strong and articulated communicator who can connect with stakeholders at multiple levels.

Job Requirements

In your new role you will:

• Creation, modification and prioritization of sales and marketing plans, taking into account existing orders for the next 6 months and in consultation with the Business Demand Planner
