Your role

Are you a good at multitasking? Are you solid as a rock when you’re juggling among multiple projects? Do you enjoy solving problems? We are looking for a Business Risk Specialist who has experience in the area of Investment Suitability to help us to:

– develop and assess business risk and markets impact of proposed solutions to comply with both local regulatory and global Investment Suitability and migration requirements

– provide clear and concise documentation of processes and business requirements for client migration

- work with IT to implement required system enhancements and perform testing to ensure quality of delivery

- syndicate proposed changes with internal stakeholders and implement required process changes

= perform validation of records pre and post migration to ensure outcomes are in line with expectation

- drive and track remediation activities to ensure completion within the required deadlines

- communicate progress to key business partners in a timely manner

- prepare training materials to client facing team for key changes

Your team

You’ll be working with the Investment Suitability Framework team under the Investment Suitability Competence Center. We are responsible for front-to-bank (analysis, process design, and eventual implementation of both pre-trade and ex-post controls) implementation of the IS framework to ensure that the business in SG and HK adheres to both local regulatory Investment Suitability requirements, as well as to the UBS Global Suitability Framework.

Your experience and skills

You have:

– worked in a similar position before

– business analysis or project management experience in the area of Wealth management, preferably in Investment suitability or Investor protection.

– strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure things out)

The Job

· Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Policy Servicing, provide user requirements and perform User Acceptance Test for new products, system enhancements and system defects

· Support ad hoc projects and coordinate user testing when needed.

· Create and design process flows, journey maps to facilitate understanding of end to end processes within Policy Servicing, including cross functional processes

· Liase with relevant business, function and technology teams to document requirements

· Review and identify opportunities for process improvements, straight-through processing and drive automation

· Update Standard Operating Procedure and coach/train the processing team

· Assist to manage the Policy Servicing team and ensure smooth operations of the team

· Assist to support audits and control testing on Policy Servicing functions

· Coordinate and support ad hoc activities and projects

The Talent

· Minimally 3 years of experience working in the insurance industry is preferred

· Knowledge and hands on experience working on projects in the Life Insurance / Shield line of business

· Experience in developing business case and requirements and perform impact assessment

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to operate effectively and think innovatively to find solution

· Good time management, task and result-oriented. Able to perform duties with accuracy and deliver quality work within tight timelines

· Proactive, strong team spirit and strong supervisory skills

· Considerable relevant experience in managing a team preferably in an insurance or financial sector
