Job Purpose:

Individual will work as part of Counterparty Exposure (CPE) team under the global Institutional Credit Management (ICM) group and be responsible for measuring, monitoring and controlling counterparty risk for institutional clients. Analyzing portfolios and businesses, with a focus on counter-party and collateral risk to ensure the risks are being properly measured and controlled in accordance with the Firm’s risk policies.

Job Background/Context:

Institutional Credit Management (ICM) is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and works with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. Key responsibilities of the group include credit analysis, documentation, risk identification, exposure monitoring and stress testing. ICM coordinates with credit management groups across ICG businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.

Counterparty Exposure (CPE) is a global team within ICM responsible for measuring, monitoring and controlling counterparty risk. To fulfill this role, a risk professional is required who has experience in market risk management and credit risk management areas, or has training in finance, mathematics or other quantitative fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve credit reviews as a first line of defense approver (Credit Officer CO/Senior Credit Officer SCO designation) including assessment of portfolio risk, liquidity of client positions, credit limits and risk appetite ratios for APAC Real Money Funds.
• Maintain and manage credit exposures to clients across derivatives, financing and direct lending products.
• Advise and approve large transactions or deals that require individual risk assessment
• Work with Risk colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis
• Monitor client portfolios to ensure that risks are controlled - primarily credit risk arising from market sensitive exposure and liquidity risk

• Represent the department to various independent risk teams, auditors and regulatory agencies on issues related to counterparty risk and controls.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a regional team supporting the Third-Party Risk Management framework implementation and planning of process enhancement initiatives in APD

• Manage the business for the Asia Marketing team, proactively supporting the team together through important planning cycles, managing meeting rhythms and stakeholders, and collaboration across functions.

IT Service Management

· Monitor and update client on operation concern and/or compliance matters and propose resolution.

· Provide monthly summary and/or progress report on systems health, statuses, risk status and status of CR/SR and System Problem.

· Conduct and/or participate in management update meetings - Operations, Service Review, Audit and Management Meeting.

· Review reports from the IT Infrastructure Operations & Support (O&S) project teams

IT Configuration Management

· Maintain oversight and review the obsolescence of IT assets across the IT Infrastructure.

· Prepare and submit report to Client.

Incident Management

· Lead investigation and resolution of incident.

· Oversee the conduct of root cause analysis and recommend improvement solutions for recurring incidents to Client.

IT Security Management

· Schedule security scan for identified systems according to policies and verify all vulnerability rectifications are satisfactorily performed.

· Conduct Security Review on System Access and administration patterns weekly, and report unusual or suspicious activities, if any, to SMO Head Office.

· Track, mitigate and deploy patch security vulnerabilities accordingly to the stipulated timeline. Maintain oversight and submit reports on monthly basis.

· Escalate and/or seek Client’s acceptance and approval of assessed risks.

IT Security Compliance & QA Management

· Ensure compliance status of the Systems adheres to applicable standards, polices, directives and guidelines.

· Declare, review and report compliance status to SMO head office annually.

· During audit exercise, work with stakeholders to provide responses and evidences to auditors or compliance related declarations.

· Provide a Rectification Plan on any gaps found.

· Provide rectification plan for issues arising from audit.

· Seek waiver on compliance whenever it is justifiable.

· Ensure all applicable standards, policies, directives, guidelines, deliverables and quality assurance records are filed and kept up to date for audit and review purposes.

· Work with Client on system enhancement required for policy changes and audit requirements.

• Communicate with your team to understand status of equipment planning for each project.
• Support your team by preparing a draft packing list according to Engineering equipment breakdown list prepared by Technical Managers.
