JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Communications

• Manage marketing and related communication needs of the hotel ranging from preparing marketing brochures & collaterals to creating online content while complying with brand requirements, to deliver brand reputation growth and drive the business objectives.
• Identify media opportunities, develop and manage media relationships, identify and drive creative news-making opportunities including blogger and influencer management.
• Monitor coverage of the company and key industry developments across print, online, broadcast and social media platforms, as well as track the performance of media communications efforts.

Branding / Advertising / Marketing Collaterals

• Enhance brand awareness and maintain a consistent image internally and externally.
• Support marketing initiatives across offline and online platforms to strengthen the hotel’s reputation in the media and community through various campaigns.
• Identify suitable online partnership and advertising partners to work with to amplify the brand.
• Create and curate marketing materials, including brochures, promotional items, and maps, for promotions, events, property tours and conferences.
• Draft and refine communication pieces such as press releases, presentations, and letters.

Media Relations / Media Clipping / Reports

• Prepare media releases and coordinate dissemination of press kits.
• Handle media enquiries, consistent updates to establish good relations with media.
• Support media relations outreach efforts, including pitching ideas and events, interview facilitation, and media tours.
• Coordinate on-property visits from media, including reservations, amenities, special requests, and dining.
• Update press database, digital library, and press clippings including list of all media contacts and media distribution lists (e.g., contact information, magazine circulation and demographics).
• Assist with on-site media relations for local events, marketing/promotional events, and other press functions.
• Monitor media coverage and other external factors to identify potential or actual problem areas and opportunities.

Digital Marketing

• Develop and implement e-marketing initiatives to increase revenue and conversion.
• Establish and implement the hotel’s annual advertising plan for all digital channels
• Assist on matters related to creative and media planning for display campaigns.
• Ensure brand and marketing messages on online channels are consistent with overall marketing activities (i.e. special promotions/offers etc.)
• Review and monitor hotel’s primary competition set on a regular basis online and ensure/maintain competitiveness and “web appeal”.

Website Management

• Position the hotel’s website as the priority channel of online distribution and optimise the hotel’s overall digital presence.
• Responsible for updating content and managing inventory of the dining websites for Java+, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant and Crossroads as well as retail events such as Mooncakes, Festive and Chinese New Year.
• Ensure accuracy of the content and presentation on the websites, third party portals, directories and websites where the hotel is listed and/or distributes inventory.
• Work closely with Marriott Digital Services (MDS) to deploy website enhancements and functionality upgrades.

Search Engine Marketing / Optimisation (SEM / SEO)

• Responsible for driving room revenue using Paid Search Optimisation and running online campaigns via third party vendors including PLUS, ADARA, Google Adwords, Expedia Travelads and Booking Network Sponsored Ads.
• Implementing SEO best practices to improve website ranking and drive organic traffic.
• Monitoring and analyse the performance of digital marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, PLUS Platform and prepare reports to measure effectiveness and ROI.
• Review the ranking of the hotel website on search engines, and update the hotel website with relevant search terms and adequate keyword frequency to ensure that the hotel website gets the best possible natural page rank in the languages available.
• Update and optimize meta descriptions and tags.

Assist on any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job scope:

Event Management

• Plan, organize, and execute events, ensuring they align with the objectives and goals.

• Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment.

Business Operations

• Assist with business operations, including administrative tasks, mobility portal

management, and inquiries from students and university partners.

• Collect and analyze data to generate reports on event performance, attendee

engagement, and ROI.

• Monitor key performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.

• Collaborate with the finance and procurement team on invoicing and purchase order.

Teneo is looking for a talented and driven Senior Vice President with a passion for strategic communications to join our Strategy and Communications team in Singapore.

Teneo’s Strategy and Communications offering provides integrated communications and investor relations/capital markets counsel to businesses, government leaders and CEOs. This role is part of a thriving team advising high-profile clients on how to manage reputation through crisis/transactions/issues, engage with key stakeholders, create effective narratives and tell proactive stories which support clients’ strategic objectives.

As a Senior Vice President you will have responsibility for leading client accounts and providing the highest quality of service to our clients, playing a pivotal role in driving forward activity across multiple account teams, delivering regular insights and analysis, and supporting clients’ reputational and strategic objectives. You will also play a pivotal role in retaining and developing our best talent both as a client team leader and mentor/coach.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Vice President within the Teneo Strategy and Communications team, your role will include:

1. Leading reputation management and advisory – act as a trusted strategic communications expert for Teneo’s multinational client base, utilising regional geopolitical and/ or business analysis to advise clients on opportunities and reputational challenges. As a Senior Vice President, you will be able to advise clients holistically across corporate reputation, crisis and issues, investor relations and financial communications/special situations.

2. Overseeing communications planning and deployment – oversee the development and implementation of tailored narratives, integrated communications plans and innovative campaigns. Quality assured content development across diverse formats such as key messages, talking points, speeches and op-eds, media engagements etc.

3. Leading communications strategy development and deployment – leveraging research, insights and discussions with client to lead the creation of communications strategies, utilising Teneo’s resources, offerings, and expertise across business segments. Confidently present recommendations to senior executives.

4. Account management – lead on account delivery, managing a team of experts to deliver high quality client servicing and acting as the main point person with the client. Actively coach and mentor junior team members.

5. Client management – Establishes long-term senior relationships by offering valued, strategic counsel and has a track record of retaining clients. Proactively manage the client and work to take advantage of opportunities/ resolve issues as needed.

6. Supporting new business development – actively building a network of new client/ prospect relationships, working on new business opportunities including leading proposals and participating in client pitch meetings. Demonstrates commercial acumen in costing and managing the delivery or projects. Develops understanding and fluency across Teneo’s service offerings.

7. Supporting wider team management – taking responsibility for managing team members, supporting their performance reviews and career growth within the firm. Supporting the smooth running of client servicing operations.

Furthermore, you will be expected to:

· Build strong relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and seeking organic growth opportunities through new business proposal development;

· Create advisory notes for client leadership, addressing media narratives, geopolitical risks, and reputational issues, while monitoring media coverage for clients and competitors;

· Provide support and insight to your client teams, proactively highlighting opportunities, and potential areas of concern;

· Build a strong network of effective relationships internally and externally;

· Proactively seek formal and informal learning and development opportunities to support your professional growth and contribute to the sharing of learnings across the wider team; and

· Actively coach and mentor Senior Associates and Vice Presidents on your account teams.

Requirements:

· 10-15 years related experience in corporate communications and/or financial communications preferably in a consultancy environment

· Ability to take complexity and translate effectively; a creative and strategic thinker in the area of reputation management, sees around corners, approaches communications from new angles;

· Strong ability to convey strategic and financial messages in written materials, financial models and data analysis;

· Expertise in handling complex, ambiguous briefs

· Strong track record of galvanizing high stakes relationships with both regional and international media

· Expertise in client servicing and possessing a project management mindset

· Leadership Skills: strong management and organizational skills with the ability to develop and execute multiplatform strategies for clients while working with the client and account teams

· Executive Presence: gravitas, confidence, ability to present to a CEO (C-Suite leadership team)

· Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA preferred

· Excellent English language skills are required. Additional language skills, such as Mandarin or Bahasa are an advantage.
