- Handle full set of accounts and finance functions in accordance to statutory requirements, company policies and procedures

Primary Objective(s) of Position

Donors and volunteers continue to be the lifeblood of AWWA, one of Singapore’s largest social service agencies. Recruitment

Job Description

• Develop engaging content (written, visual, and videos) for various marketing channels to support project goals.

Job Descriptions:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly report on Account Payable, Account Receivable and Income and Expenditure, schedules and reconciliation of general ledger to support monthly ledger closing such as payroll reconciliation
• Perform daily accounting operational duty such as checking payment and receipts slip
• Prepare audit and corporate tax schedules, liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other statutory bodies/authorities on internal and external audit mattes, and all statutory and tax/GST tax requirement compliances
• Review GST entry, GST reconciliation and quarterly GST preparation to comply with the Singapore GST regulations
• Monitoring fixed asset operation & foreign remittance
• Support regional offices on accounting matters
• Prepare and support management reports
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirement:

• Degree / Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years in similar industry
• Preferable candidates with GST/corporate tax background
• Capable to communicate with accounting staffs in the regional offices

Job Descriptions:

1. Management reports:

• Prepare monthly trial balance and balance sheet schedules,
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation,
• Prepare monthly and quarterly projects’ reports, ie. Payable, Receivable, and cash flow,
• Monitor prepayment schedules and prepare amortisation slips, and
• Update daily bank transaction report.

2. Review projects payment, receipt and journal slips.

3. Support yearly financial audit, mainly in preparing audit schedules to the external auditors and attending auditors’ queries.

4. Assist in a joint venture entity (JV) accounts and GST:

• Prepare GST and file GST returns to IRAS,
• Support JV entity and JV partner’s yearly financial audit, mainly in preparing audit schedules to the external auditors and attending auditors’ queries,
• Update daily bank transaction report and time deposit placement,
• Renew of business registration with ACRA before expiry date.

5. Support Head Office accounting request as and when.

6. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
• Preferable to have at least 3 years similar industry experience.
• Preferable to have GST and SFRS background.
• Good in written and verbal communication skill.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, a team player & result-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Corporate or Individual donor/ partner solicitation & stewardship.
• Acquisition and management of in-kind sponsorship and donation.
• Support the planning, execution of fundraising events (including the preparation of materials, audio-visual materials, appeals, events, etc.)
• Conduct research, data mining and analysis for donor projects.
• Prepare funding proposals, donation appeals and appreciation letters.
• Record, manage and maintain all fundraising income and be the main point of contact between the Finance team and Fundraising team.
• Provide up-to-date and accurate information on donations.
• Admin support and follow up on stewardship mailing and phone campaigns.
• Assist with all activities which help to raise funds.
• Recording of minutes of Fundraising Committee meetings.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Business Administration, Accountancy or equivalent.
• Some experience in fundraising, whether corporate, government-related or non-profit, would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite, such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to deal with confidential information sensitively and appropriately.
• Strong ability to interact and communicate with people effectively.
• High standard of numeracy skills in accurately entering and recording financial data.
• Meticulous, detailed in work and able to handle deadlines and stress.
• Strong event organisational skills, ability to conduct donor analysis and data mining.
