East Coast Podiatry is widely recognised as one of the most prestigious Podiatry group practices in the world. Patients from all over the globe travel to Singapore to seek our expert care for lower limb disorders. Our team of Podiatrists specialise in a wide range of leg and foot conditions, treating people from all walks of life. From new-borns with clubfoot deformity, complex paediatric gait disorders, common adult pains including knee arthritis, lower limb sports injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, to soft tissue conditions such as warts, fungus and toenail issues.
East Coast Podiatry is managed by a professional management team of 40 full-time staff with its head office at Lower Delta Road. Our departments include operations, finance, HR, legal, IT, marketing and a supply chain management team that handles logistics, warehousing and procurement.
JOB INTRODUCTION
First contract will be a 2 year Apprenticeship Programme. Candidates will receive training within a structured learning module under the close guidance of our senior podiatrists. Candidates will not be consulting nor treating patients independently during this phase. Successful candidates who graduate the programme will be offered a subsequent employment contract to practice with enhanced clinical autonomy.
The apprentice podiatrist position encompasses the foundation of continuous education in a working environment surrounded by advanced podiatric cases. Apprentices will be under the leadership of East Coast Podiatry's pioneering practitioners, whom are equipped with a vast knowledge of high risk, MSK, paediatrics, podiatric surgery and ultrasound imaging.
This position is a unique opportunity for podiatrists to be part of a well-equipped program that offers fluid progression of knowledge in a field of podiatry that is seldom seen. During the 2 years apprentices will be expected to follow the instructions of their senior clinical leads to ensure that overall educational learning and career progression milestones are being met.
- Permanent full-time position in Singapore
- Experienced podiatrists or fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Travel assistance allowance to relocate is available for non-Singapore residents (conditions apply)
- 5 day work week. Full-day clinic duty on Saturdays is compulsory. Off days on Sunday and an assigned weekday (except for Wednesday)
- Full day CPD and skills training every Wednesday is compulsory.
- Clinic hours: 9am – 6pm, patient case briefing at 8.30am.

JOB REQUIREMENT
- Degree in Podiatry from a UK, Australian, New Zealand, American or South African state registered University
- Registered with the relevant bodies such as the U.K. HCPC, Australian AHPRA, an American Board of Podiatry or any relevant registration recognized by the Singapore Ministry of Health.
- Competence in written and spoken English
ROLE OF THE APPRENTICE PODIATRIST
Apprentices will work closely under the supervision of their clinical/senior lead and will undergo rotation across our four clinic locations to learn from various podiatrists. Duties will include:
- Taking on patient cases as instructed by the mentoring podiatrist who will provide the apprentice with the needed information and specific instructions for the apprentice to carry out treatment to optimize full patient recovery.
- The apprentice will provide patient reports required by the senior to ensure patient progress is being achieved.
- Consultation will be carried out by the mentoring podiatrist and apprentices will be expected to join-questions may be asked for associate to obtain full educational benefit.
- Apprentices will be expected to continuously study on their own time, as well as to periodically present their learnings and clinical cases to the panel of senior podiatrists
