About Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre:
Established in December 2000, Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre provide essential community care for adults aged 18-55 with intellectual disabilities. Funded by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and Tote Board Social Service Fund, these facilities offer residential and day care services respectively. Our holistic programs aim to enhance independence and quality of life through comprehensive support from a dedicated team comprising social workers, training officers, nurses, and aides.
Job Title: Therapy Aide
Main Responsibilities:
· Conduct therapy programs for clients under therapist supervision.
· Maintain safe and clean equipment and environment for clients.
· Record and monitor clients’ progress and participation.
· Assist physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist in providing advice and education to clients and caregivers.
· Participate in donor/volunteer/fundraising events and perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Minimum 1-2 years of related experience; experience with persons with special needs preferred.
· Minimum certificate in Therapy services or equivalent.
· Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
· Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
· Hardworking, meticulous, and responsible.
· Service-oriented with excellent communication skills.
