Policy and Regulation Maintenance

· Implement and enforce policies/procedure in accordance to the corporate safety polices/procedures.

· Ensure safety policies are kept up-to-date, meets the latest standards, and establish new ones when required

· Supports in all the OSHA, Environmental & GGBS audits

Site Safety Inspection

· Conducts safety inspections on sites to determine if hazards are present and to establish procedures and policies to overcome such hazardous situations.

· Conducts safety inspections on machineries in compliance to regulatory requirements

· Monitor for broken equipment, defective tools, and other potential hazards.

· Advised the type of personal protective equipment (PPE) is needed

· Ensure the workers know how to operate and use tools and equipment.

Accident Investigation

· Ensure proper safety procedures are documented and are carried out at site

· Conduct safety investigation to determine root causes, gather evidence and prepare incidence reports when needed

· Document findings and recommendations that should be followed to prevent the accident from happening again.

· Verify that injury reports are submitted to related government agencies

Record Keeping

· Responsible for reviewing safety standard keeping of safety records

Safety Training

· Provide training to employees on safety issues as required by OSHA. These include fire prevention plans, machine guarding, and hazardous materials handling.

Job Description

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

General Overview

Job Description:

• Conduct site safety audit inspections, monitor and drive contractors’ close out of safety violations
• Identify foreseeable risks and hazards in the worksite and in relation to the work activities and work sequence and assess suitability of contractors’ risk control measures.
• Review contractors’ method statement, risk assessment and safe work procedure and recommend and implement practicable measures and safe work procedures
• Facilitate Investigation processes and report to WSH Manager on all incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Liaise with main contractor representatives, subcontractor and relevant
• Authorities pertaining to safety matters
• Monitor follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance and close out inspection findings and observations.
• Ensure SMM implementation and compliance due to COVID-19 or any other pandemic outbreaks.
• Inculcate a safe working environment and promote positive safety culture and training.
• Relevant duties as and when assigned by Reporting Manager

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience as WSHO
• MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)
• Highly motivated, results-oriented and good team player
• Able to manage contractors and consultants.

What you will be working on?

• Attend regular meetings with creative team including choreographers for different performing items;
• Understand the concept of the different items and propose suitable ideas;
• Assist Production Managers to plan schedule for filming, rehearsals and logistic matters;
• Assist with music and filming recordings at studio;
• Assist with production of content for videos and/or webcast including sourcing and collation of materials, pre-recording of performances and other preparations support;
• Work with Production Manager, Site Management, Sound / Lighting / Effects team to ensure smooth rehearsals and shows;
• Take on liaison duties with multiple participating groups during events and their rehearsals;
• Perform administrative duties pertaining to participating groups before and after event;
• Coordinate with the participating groups on the rehearsals, music, costumes, props, floats, structures and other logistical items;
• Co-ordinate and manage volunteers assisting as parade production crew
• Take on the role as the key personnel to manage the performing area during rehearsals & parade/show days
• Assist in doing up PowerPoint Slides such as the concept, formation and important information;
• Assist in note-taking of meetings;

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide WSH and Fire Safety expertise to meet or exceed requirements of MOM and SCDF
• Demonstrate consistent and positive behaviours and actions that meet all the applicable requirements stated in WSH (WSHO) Regulations and Fire Safety (FSM) Regulations
• Provide strong support to implement & maintain ISO 9001, ISO14001, OSHAS18001/ISO45001 and MOM SMS (SS 506 Part 3), MHI Safety Case Regime; and other applicable Q-HSSE Standards and Best Practices
• Monitor compliance to applicable Q-HSSE codes, standards and legislation in Singapore, as well as SCI G-HSSE standards, procedures, and guidelines
• Provide day-to-day support to Operation & Maintenance (O&M) teams on Hazards & risks control issues and assessing process hazards and risks
• Manage the sustainability and/or support implementation of the following Process Safety elements for Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR)
• Process Safety Performance Measurement and Analysis

• Assist in the Annual Respirator Fit-Test, Workplace Safety and Health (Medical Examinations) Regulations Exposure to Noise (Audiometric Test)
• Conduct and Review Method Statement and Risk assessments
• Assist in Conduct noise monitoring in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act (Chapter 354a), WSH ( Noise) Regulations 2011 & Personal Dosimetry monitoring based on person in similar exposure group (SEG), boundary noise monitoring in accordance with Environmental Protection & Management ( Boundary Noise Limits for Factory Premises) Regulations , Environmental Protection and Management Act (in compliance to NEA requirements), Industrial Hygiene monitoring based on WSHA (General Provisions) Regulations : Permissible Exposure Limits of Toxic Substances ( Personal and Static test), and Indoor Air Quality Assessment ( Instantaneous measurement in accordance to SS554:2009)

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Related industry experience with an Engineering degree or diploma, preferably in Chemical/ Environmental / Process or Risk Engineering
• Possess WSHO and FSM Certificates
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in the relevant process plant, waste management, oil and gas, logistics industry
• Strong knowledge of Singapore HSSE related regulatory requirements preferred
• Experience in process safety and manufacturing is desired
• Able to communicate at all levels and firm in decision
• Able to work under pressure & tight deadlines
• Able to self-motivate and encourage cohesive work team
