The National University of Singapore is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Southeast Asian Studies. The Department is the only Southeast Asian Studies department at a world-class university located in Southeast Asia itself, a distinction that provides faculty with unique research access as well as ensuring a highly diverse student body.

The Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) Programme aims to pioneer the development and discovery of new and more effective methods for the treatment, prevention and control of new and emerging pathogens. The key outcome of the research will be the early identification of new pathogens, out of which new diagnostic tests, treatments and control strategies will be developed.

The laboratory of Immunotherapy in HBV Infection within the EID Programme is focused on the study of immune response of Hepatitis B and the liver microenvironment. The laboratory is also at the forefront in developing T-cell receptor (TCR) cell therapy against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recently, the laboratory is actively involved in studying the immune responses in SARS-CoV1, SARS-CoV2 and other emerging viral diseases.

A Research Assistant / Laboratory Technician position is available and the successful candidate will be closely involved in the collaboration project work between hospitals/industries and the laboratory. The duties and responsibilities include the following: -

• Perform tasks and support the team in scientific projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class 3 Certificate of Competency (CoC) issued by a recognized maritime authority.
