Overview

Due to a massive extension of our business, we are seeking Assistant Business Development Manager to support our business development team.

Responsible for identifying opportunities to increase sales and customer satisfaction, assist in planning and implementing effective sales strategies. Candidate should also be able to conduct in-depth market research and identify potential leads in driving our growth strategies and expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists the Business Development Manager in planning and implementing effective sales strategies.
• Conduct regular business reviews, Develop the online sales channel for the Singapore market.
• Conduct store checks on sales performance and service level.
• Formulate, implement & execute Trade marketing plans for the Singapore market/key accounts (including Travel Retail)
• Coordinate with internal and external team members with allocated resources, Work closely with Marketing team on development of Trade programs (POSM, regional banded packs, etc), with the appointed distributor/s to deliver the annual sell-in and sell-out budgets set within allocated resources.
• Sales performance monitoring and assurance of Service level management.
• Provide internal team training to reporting members and improve the team’s performance.

Requirements

• Proven track record with 2-3 years’ experience in sales or key account management experience, preferably in FMCG / Pharma channel
• Experience with supermarket, convenience stores, Travel retailor pharmacy channel clients will be an advantage.
• Trade Marketing experience, Distributor management experience will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS office suite.
• Possess Class 3 Driving license.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Assist project based on assigned sales representative.
• Office-based and will go on several site visits.
• Conduct site meeting, measurement, and photo-taking.
• Work on costing, budgeting, procurement, and project planning.
• Liaising with production head for internal costing and project management.
• Assist in managing and preparing quotation, based on compiled information for the events/renovation projects. This ranges from initial basic calculations, quotations, and Variation Order (VO).
• Allocate work to contractors and subcontractors to facilitate the smooth workflow process.
• Oversee installation on-site and resolve and project issues during the course of the project.
• Control project scope to meet project objectives to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
• Review, prepare and submit tender project.
• Liaising with client on project’s requirement and showing samples.
• Review of operational, administrative system and improvement plan.
• Create and manages system and processes within the daily operations.
• Working collaboratively with both internal and external members. Such as the sales, designer, production, operations, subcontractor, and vendor.

• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and business reviews.
• Support efficiency improvements including simplification of reports, analysis tools and automation of reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the monthly close process; ensure the integrity of financial data.

Financial Planning

• Support annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and management.
• Monitor budget variances and provide explanations and corrective actions as needed.
• Implement financial controls to manage budget adherence and optimize financial performance.
• Analyse financial performance against budget and forecasts.

Business Partnering/ Decision Support

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide value-added financial analysis and provide data-driven insights
• Support the development of business cases, including but not limited to, operational efficiency, cost saving opportunities, capital expenditure decisions, vendor selection and negotiation, etc.
• Participate in improvement projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you'll have a Degree in Finance, Accounting or ACCA with the following related experiences:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong in MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP, ERP systems, Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Self-starter with a high level of motivation level to learn and develop.
