Working days

Our business includes a retail segment with 2 retail chains selling fast moving consumer goods and religious products, a property rental segment and a direct selling segment.

Responsibilities:

Accounting, General Admin Functions

• Responsible for the full set accounts and day-to-day accounting
• Perform bookkeeping general ledger, AP, cash management, and bank reconciliation
• Ensure all accounting records are kept up-to-date and maintained promptly and accurately
• Handle all regulatory submissions including GST returns
• Process payments to suppliers
• Liaise with the external auditor and tax agents
• Report to the Directors and handle ad-hoc assignments

HR Functions

• Responsible for full spectrum of HR function
• Responsible in payroll process, claims expenses, and other related matters
• Manage recruitment cycle including sourcing, arrange for interview, and salary proposal
• Process Work pass application, renewable and cancellation
• Coordinate with insurance agents with regards to cancellation, renewal, new coverage of insurances

Requirements:

• ACCA/Diploma in Accounting or equivalent with 2 years of relevant work experience
• Possess knowledge in GST, Local Tax Regulations, and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
• Self -motivated. well organized, meticulous, and able to multi-task
• Ability to converse and liaise with external vendors and suppliers

Job Description:

· Handle finance-related matters for postgraduate and undergraduate programs, including budgeting, forecasting and preparing quarterly financial reports.

· Maintain up-to-date financial records.

· Perform the processing, verifying and reconciling of payments.

· Monitor and record expenses, ensuring proper documentation.

· Schedule and execute payment disbursements according to payment terms and company policies.

· Manage and track reimbursements and expenses for individual cost centres.

· Ensure that payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

· Initiate efforts to streamline the accounts payable process and improve system performance to achieve higher efficiency.

Monthly salary range: $2,600 - $3,200

Job Requirements:

- A bachelor’s degree.

- Prior experience in the education sector and/or finance will be advantageous.

- Keen to learn, able to manage multiple tasks/deadlines well.

- Organized and meticulous, with an eye for details and accuracy.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- A team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively.

- Ability to engage with students, staff, and school faculty members.

- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience in use of database programme, automation software (Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate) and data analytics tool would be an advantage.

Job Description:

• Ensure accurate billing of hall fees and other payable items for student accommodation as well as processing refunds for early withdrawals.
• Review customer outstanding records and aging report regularly and conduct prompt debt recovery measures.
• Engage residents/ stakeholders on their queries/ requests received via various channels (e.g. ServiceNow, over the counter, phone calls and emails) and ensure quality resolution within stipulated SLA (service-level-agreement) requirements. Cases include requests for waiver of late fees, instalment payments and lifting of barring for course registration.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process such as raising of purchase requisitions, performing goods receipt, and ensuring prompt payment to vendors. Assist in preparation of tender documents such as requirement specifications where necessary and ensuring purchase orders for completed work are closed in time for year-end financial year closing.
• Support other corporate services and service management from time to time:
• Perform cross-functional duties such as resident relations and facilities management to support the turnaround of rooms, mass check-ins and other coordination work with the rest of the Hall Office team to provide a good residential experience.
• Assist Co-ordinating Unit to reply ServiceNow tickets after release of hall application result.
• Update and maintain accurate records to fulfill administrative and financial requirements.
• Contribute to building a useful repository of best-practice templates for use to respond to common queries.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the People Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holders with at least 3 years relevant working experience preferably in a finance / billing role and customer service / relationship management.
• Familiarity with the tertiary education or hospitality industry will be advantageous.
• Experience in using hostel/resident management system will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Teams. Prior experience using SAP Ariba and ServiceNow would be advantageous.

• Preparation of month-end management accounts including audit schedules
• Preparation of quarterly GST Returns
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Participate in ad hoc financial projects and process improvements
• Assist the Finance Manager with financial operations, including maintenance of proper processes on the daily financial and accounting transactions like cash management, receivables, payables, banking, and record transactions
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines
• Assist with the improvement of financial systems to enhance cash flow management, financial reporting, internal control and compliance, and accounting information consolidation
• Prepare financial reports for audit and queries by auditors
• Prepare and review inter-company billing and reconciliation
• Prepare AP and expense claims payments
• Preparation of quarterly GST returns and ECI computation
• Liaise with auditors, Tax agents and Corporate Secretary on audit, tax, and AGM matters
