How will I help?

• Cost allocation: good understanding of Technology and Operations allocations and associated data, and how they are represented to Business Units, Segments and Products.
• Intercompany recharges: ensure appropriate governance and reconciliation of resource recharges to each Technology functions from our development centers.
• Periodic fixed assets review: ensure appropriate governance on Fixed assets annual review, to ensure accurate financials for year end reporting.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting & Finance with 8+ years of relevant experience, Ideal candidate should be CA/CPA/ACCA qualified
• Strong ability to work with big datasets, granular data flows/processes.
• Good grasp of banking operations structure, with good understanding / prior experience in financial planning & analysis preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to work in ambiguous situations and quickly adapts to changes in priorities.

Job Description

• Responsible for full set of accounts for the company.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Handle intercompany billings.
• Process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Input and process daily bank transactions.
• Handle petty cash claims.
• Review and input staff claims.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and intercompany confirmations.

Responsibilities

· To ensure proper processing of Trade Finance transactions according to the procedures set out in the operational manual, thoroughly checking the supporting documents, obtaining approval of transactions, input trade transactions in system, passing the relevant accounting entries if any.

· To process remittance transactions, i.e. MT202, MT103, MEPS008, MEPS009 etc.

· To respond professionally to existing and potential customer’s queries on products and services.

· To keep proper records of trade finance transactions and ensure all transaction documents are filed in order.

As Finance Assistant, you will have to ensure that the organisation is in compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures and policies on all accounting and tax activities. You will work with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to ensure that company achieve its performance targets. You will also be required to ensure that appropriate effective internal controls are in place and constantly drive for process improvements.

Reporting to the Deputy Finance Manager, you will work closely with other finance streams, cross functional teams and other internal/external stakeholders. You will be based in Singapore.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under Shared Service team, Finance Assistant responsibilities as follow:

· Manage daily accounts functions, Accounts Payable (AP), AR Receipt and reconciliation.

· Process supplier invoices /approval/ e-invoicing timely and accurately.

· Correct posting of entries and inter-company transactions.

· Ensure compliance with manual of authority (MOA), Standard operating procedures (SOP) and company policies, GST requirements.

· Assist GL to carry out month-end and year-end accounts closing.

· Prepare monthly schedules, review of supplier SOA and AP aging and supplier/audit reconciliation.

· Attend to payment queries from stakeholders.

· Follow up on long outstanding invoices, unreconciled/dispute items and sundry creditors. (Highlight any discrepancies, exceptional losses).

· Follow up on use of direct credit authorisations for collections.

· Supplier/Employee Master Data Creation & Maintenance.

· Assist to identify areas of improvement to streamline, simplify, standardize, digitalise and automate systems and processes.

· Besides duties listed above detailed in RACI Matrix, to perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Responsible for managing and processing invoices for payment and ensure all AP transactions are processed timely and accurately.
• Review request of new vendor creation in accounting systems and ensure policy and procedures are strictly adhere to.
• Provide strong support and guidance to junior staff and able to take initiative to resolve disputes pertaining to Accounts Payable matters.
