At a glance

Reporting to the Finance Manager/Accountant/Senior, you will provide financial, clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient, timely and accurate financial information in the Finance Department.

About the role

• Handle restaurant enquiries, resolves billing discrepancies and disputes
• Manage finance emails
• Liaise with restaurant for outstanding invoices and bills
• Maintain accounts receivable and payable customer files and records
• Verify and check payments prepared, and ensure timely payment
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Description

• Overseeing and reviewing works done by the finance team
• Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
• Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
• Budgeting and forecasting for the business
• Liaising with external auditors and tax agents
• Looking into strengthening current internal control and process improvement
• Liaise with external parties (e.g. Ministries, Donors, Auditors & etc)
• Manage the Finance Department as a whole

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance
• 5 years’ experience in the Finance and Accounting field
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
• Proficient user of finance software
• Capable of forecasting finances for future references
• Ability to monitor and track the organisation budget

Responsibilities:

• Review system generated invoices and send to customers once approved by supervisor.
• Apply billing adjustments to customer accounts.
• Issuance of invoices & credit notes
• Maintain organized customer files, including invoices, credits notes, bank notices and correspondence.
• Cash application for receipts for bank & credit cards
• Cash receipts are applied within 24 hours to accounts.
• Follow up with stakeholders on payment information.
• Maintenance of refund data in system.
• All other Billing & Receipting matters.
• Responding to internal & external stakeholders via phone calls and resolving questions, concerns and problems relative to billing and receipting matters; taking necessary actions in a timely manner to correct the situation.
• Regular liaison with internal department to reconcile customer accounts.
• Provide support to internal stakeholders, so that replies to regional queries are addressed successfully and in a timely manner.
• Maintain quality customer communication (verbal and written) internal / external

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of billing & receipting experience
• Proven experience of working in an international business environment exposed to stakeholders in an operational context
• Experience of multi-currency financial systems
• With general knowledge of all Accounts Receivable functions within an organization
• Hands-on experience of accounting systems with Oracle Experience preferred
• Finance Qualification of Diploma/Degree level or equivalent in Finance.

You will be responsible in -

• Making sure bookkeeping is in order and adhering to proper accounting standards which includes managing of all invoices, billing, reconciliation related matters.
• Establishing and enforcing proper internal control policies for finance and company assets
• Managing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements which includes submission of monthly reports for key financial metrics analysis, expense and revenue analysis, and P & L for every revenue channels
• Managing statutory reporting, annual audit (internal & external), internal controls, tax compliance, etc
• Analyzing expense trends and identifying savings opportunities
• Managing financial ROI and key metrics for different sales channels
• Managing short term and long term budget planning and forecasting for different departments such as manpower, operations, sales, and so on.
• Manage the tax planning for the company
• Providing insights on cost/revenue structure for competitive companies in the industry and inform business decisions on where to invest next for business success
• Supporting other relevant ad-hoc duties as assigned

You MUST have -

• A Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any relevant professional qualifications (ACCA/CA)
• At least 5 years of proven experience in a management role in finance, both internally and externally
• Have a strong ownership mentality and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
