Key responsibilities include (though not exhaustive):

• Accounts Payable Management: Accurately post and record various payables in the accounting system, ensuring meticulous documentation and organised storage both in the accounting system and shared drives
• Aging Analysis & Client Follow-Up: Prepare detailed aging analysis reports, and proactively follow up with clients to ensure timely payments
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform thorough bank reconciliations, as well as identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
• Month-End Close Support: Contribute to the month-end closing process by preparing supporting documents to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Vendor Onboarding: Assist in the preparation and submission of new vendor forms, including handling online registrations, to ensure seamless vendor onboarding
• Financial Documentation Assistance: Provide support in the preparation of documentation for various finance-related matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Ad-Hoc Financial Support: Assist with any ad-hoc tasks or projects as needed to support the finance team and ensure the smooth operation of financial processes

Requirements:

• Accounting/finance student or recent graduate with a relevant Diploma or Degree
• Previous accounting/finance internship a plus, but not required

Job Responsibilities and Duties

1. Handle full set of accounts, including preparation of monthly financials and statistics to the Board.

2. Prepare the yearly budget and monitor actual expenditure against budget.

3. Prepare and submit GST returns.

4. Review and ensure compliance with Finance policies and procedures.

5. Ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance guidelines as stipulated by the regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Commissioner of Charities, and National Council of Social Service, etc.

6. Liaise with external and internal auditors, corporate secretarial agent, and fund management company.

7. Support Sub-committees and Board meetings, including presentation and writing of minutes.

8. Participate in ad-hoc projects.

9. Adhere to Company’s policies (including PDPA and staff-related) and procedures diligently, carry out duties in accordance with the specified service level and in good governance, observe client’s information confidentiality, and conduct oneself professionally when interacting with internal and external parties.

10. Any other jobs and duties as and when assigned.

Job Pre-Requisites

• A diploma or degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications
• Min 5 years of accounting experience for degree holder
• Min 10 years of accounting experience for diploma holder
• Experience in accounting for fund investments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Navision is an advantage.

• Support tax compliance for direct and indirect taxes, and handle tax queries with authorities.

Your Role:

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for elements of Accounts Receivable (aka Membership Finance), Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
• Work closely with other Members of the team to manage Membership Finance, including the billing and payment collection cycle;
• Assist in monthly P&L generation, balance sheet account reconciliations and inventory stock taking;
• Assist in data analysis and reporting requirements;
• Perform weekly and monthly system supported cash and bank reconciliations;
• Daily verification of POS data;
• Assist in financial year-end audit ;
• Close working relationship with the Finance team and CFO on a daily basis;
• Get involved outside of the Finance Team and connect with other departments within the Group;
• Assist in other general day-to-day finance operations and control requirements as required.
