A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Research Officer to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.

About the programme

The programme is a collaborative initiative aimed at developing vaccines to mitigate the impacts of marine fish pathogens and promote sustainable aquaculture in Singapore.

Job Description:

• Conduct laboratory experiments in vaccine testing and perform data analysis for research or industry collaboration projects.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, veterinarians, and aquaculture specialists.
• Work with fish models (both in vitro and in vivo) of infectious diseases.
• Perform meticulous recordkeeping and effectively communicate findings to the team, research collaborators and industry partners.
• Perform maintenance of inventory and procurement of laboratory consumables.
• Ensure adherence to safe technical practices and procedures.
• Providing guidance and training to students and interns on laboratory techniques and protocols.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor′s degree in Biological Sciences, Infectious Diseases, Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Marine Biology or related field.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong background in Immunology, Marine biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics.
• Experience in cell culture, fish handling, sample collection and processing, flow cytometry, and cellular and molecular techniques.
• Experience in industry project management.
• Highly motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written communication.

• Job scope:

1. 0800-1000 —- Main entrance ( stand for 2 hours and greet at ME) rain or shine.
2. Guardhouse duties: Register all contractors and ensure has permit to work.

Be part of an exciting FAB Operations Team working on cutting-edge advanced packaging process technologies.
This position is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple type of semiconductor equipment in cleanroom environment.
• Ability to use computer-based programs and applications to perform daily work/duties.
• Operate equipment based on the required process specifications (e.g. procedures, change notifications, etc.).
• Participate actively and be responsible in assigned on-the-job assignments and other required trainings when requested.
• Provide machine operations coverage and backup supports when necessary.
• Adequate understanding of the Equipment in-charge, monitor performance, timely communication with Engineers-in-charge to perform equipment errors recovery promptly when necessary.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork to promptly execute process sequences and data collections if required.
• Always follow safety protocols & rules in the Clean Room.
• Ensure 6S in the work environment and promptly report hazards/ suspicious/ abnormal activities or personnel if any identified.
• Address potential areas for improvements such as wafers processing cycle time, Equipment utilization, Safety/ Compliances, and cost savings.

Experience:
