Summary: The Engineering Assistant (Facilities & Maintenance) is responsible for equipment maintenance and performance improvement activities in the Standard BioTools Singapore Pte. Ltd. Manufacturing site, in support of the site's business goals and objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Facilities and Equipment Repair, Preventive Maintenance and Calibration:

• Daily equipment check list, Daily Management (DM) meeting, and go Gemba.
• Respond promptly with a sense of urgency to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and optimise equipment operating parameters.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment per PM/CAL schedule and update records.
• Take initiative to drive continuous improvements and implement corrective action and preventive action to prevent recurrence of critical problems.
• Manage critical spares and equipment list through stock control, requisitioning and inventory control.
• Review frequency of equipment downtime and identify opportunity for improvements.

Job Description:

• Design and develop custom software applications & automated equipment for in-house needs.
• Provide installation & commissioning support in overseas plant when required
• Manage assigned projects, from conceptualization to implementation.
• Prepare project documentation, including tracking of revision changes.

Requirements:

• Min. 2 years in application development
• Diploma/Degree in Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent
• Proficient in .NET programming (VB, C#, C++)
• Must have experience in Labview, OpenCV for vision programming
• Preferably with Database programming knowledge
• Understanding of hardware/circuit design
• Able to work overtime and travel if required

1. Accurately input data for local and overseas purchase orders;

2. Checks on costing before all PO creation;

3. Implement Merchandising System:

• Masters merchandising program/checklist. OTB, delivery schedule, monitoring holding stocks and sell-through.
• Updates all price changes (PCM) promptly.
• Creates SKU.
• Generates and print price tags.
• Updates changes to merchandise plan in the system as and when required.

4. Co-ordinates merchandise for photoshoot;

5. Prepares memos, letters, reports and agreements/contracts and file the same. Maintain files to ensure that all filings are current; and

6. Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Requirements :

• Meticulous in handling data and ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed
• Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
• Able to commit 5–6 months
• 5-day work week, 8.30 am – 6.15 pm
