As a Patient Service Associate in our Urgent Care Centre (UCC), you will deliver friendly and efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers / patients, with the key aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Handle admission and discharge processes, which includes financial counselling, payment, monitoring of bed request status ensure proper registration of personal records of patients without compromising any data and safety breaches.
• Making internal and external appointments for patients as per ordered by doctors.
• Ensure UCC’s operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.
• Provide basic financial counselling to patient and next-of-kin when requested.
• Attend to any patient and next-of-kin enquiries.
• Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare consultation documents.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE “O” Levels qualification or equivalent.
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office), handling multiple systems such as SAP will be an advantage.
• Team player with good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent in vivo pharmacology studies according to the experimental design.
• Work with a team on a mouse model of an eye disease to monitor animal health, administer drugs and measure responses to treatment, and perform injections and necropsies to harvest ocular tissues.
• Follow IACUC protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and execute tasks independently.
• Communicate and coordinate with other scientists in the team to draft, finalize, and implement study protocols.
• Create and review SOPs and risk assessments as required.
• Manage inventories, perform lab housekeeping duties and look after general supplies and reagent ordering.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Veterinary Science, Biology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacology or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with mice in various experiments needing drug application and monitoring responses.
• Expertise with rodent handling, restraining, dosing and necropsy is essential.
• Knowledge of eye anatomy and physiology will be beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn new techniques to monitor eye condition.
• Ability to mentor junior scientists on best practices in the laboratory would be highly valued.

Roles & Responsibilities:

You will provide first-line clinical coverage and assist in carrying out patient care/procedures in the department. You will also be required to perform night duties and provide coverage on weekends/public holidays per department roster.

Job Requirement:

• Must be in active clinical practice
• Possess a basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school

• Staff Management: Input and verify staff requisitions, schedule staff, and ensure fulfillment of orders. Prioritize staffing by managing new and regular staff bookings. Communicate effectively with staff one-on-one for bookings and updates.
• Operational Management: Utilize the Management System for adding orders, exporting staff data, and updating staff attendance. Ensure accurate and timely updates are communicated to clients concerning staffing statuses.
• Site Support: Provide on-site support including grooming checks and logistics management. Regular site visits are required to ensure smooth operation and to strengthen client relationships.
• Reporting and Documentation: Collect and process client timesheets, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions. Generate and submit detailed reports on account status, industry insights, and staffing efficiency.

Requirements:

• Education and Experience: NITEC. Related working experience will be a plus.
