What the role is

Operations Management and Engagement Department (OMED) oversees the day-to-day operations of NEA-managed hawker centres and works with stakeholders such as Town Councils and Hawkers Associations to ensure that the centres are clean and well-maintained.

What you will be working on

The job responsibilities include the following:

1.Tenancy Management

• End-to-end management of stall tenancies, from ensuring stalls are in tenantable condition, onboarding of new stallholders to processing applications of transfers, assignments, joint operators and termination etc.

• Managing the facilities in MSE-owned Hawker Centres through centre level checks, covering facilities maintenance (preventive and routine maintenance), cyclical repairs and redecorations, ad-hoc improvement works to enhance patrons’ experience, incident management, general and toilet cleaning, table-cleaning management, and pest control.
• Conducting centre surveillance in HDB-owned Hawker Centres to flesh out areas of concerns to stakeholders such as Regional Offices, Town Councils and Hawkers Associations.
• Appointed by Designated Person (DP) as the Environmental Control Coordinator (ECC) for each hawker centre / wet market, to develop the ES programme in accordance with the ES standards and monitor its implementation on-site.

3.Feedback/Appeals Management & Stakeholders’ Engagement

• Managing feedback providers professionally to ensure that their feedbacks are being addressed or resolved promptly in accordance to NEA’s service standard.
• Regular engagement with stakeholders including stallholders, Merchants/Hawkers Association (MA/HA), Town Councils, other Agencies etc to implement initiatives and resolve operational issues related to Hawker Centres.
• Planning and implementing activities and programmes in Hawker Centres, such as fire drills & safety training and spring cleaning, and liaise closely with relevant authorities and stakeholders.

4. Any other tasks as assigned.

About the role:

We are seeking a driven, customer-centric, innovative, and results-oriented Account Manager to focus on the Japanese market. You will be instrumental in establishing and expanding our market presence. This role involves handling and supporting Customer Success and working closely with our channel partner in Japan. It is a combination of hunting for new business, being deeply involved with the product, and managing the partner account. You will handle and solve technical queries from leads in Japan and leads from our partner.

To thrive in this role, you must have:

• Account Management experience, both hunting and farming, with a proven target achievement and a consistent record of exceeding quotas.
• Proven career in commercial or sales roles within the logistics & shipping industry, or related sectors such as ocean freight or maritime space, specifically within the Japanese market.
• Preferably experienced in B2B SaaS sales.
• Comfortable immersing yourself in the product, troubleshooting issues independently, and involving leadership only in case of bottlenecks or critical issues.

SUMMARY

Report to: Head of Finance

You will handle a comprehensive range of accounting duties and assist the Head of Finance based in Hong Kong with financial and management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities shall include but not limited to daily and monthly accounting duties such as supervising external accounting firm in ensuring accurate execution of Accounts Payable & Receivable, assisting in month-end closing, preparation of monthly regional consolidated financial statements and support actively in budgeting and forecasting for countries in scope – Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

THE ROLE

· Manage the annual audit process, addressing all queries from external auditors.

· Handle tax and transfer pricing inquiries from local tax authorities.

· Prepare checklist and consolidate documentation for annual corporate tax filing.

· Verify monthly / quarterly GST filings before submission to local authorities.

· Support actively in the financial planning, yearly budget and 4+8 forecast process.
