Areas of responsibilities:

A. Residential Care, Operations & Programme management

1. Oversee daily operations of the centre, including monitoring and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with operational requirements.

3. Lead and supervise the Residential Care Assistants in-home care management.

B. Case Management

1. Serve as liaison with other agencies, support programs, family members, professionals, and significant others as needed.
2. Conduct intake assessment of referrals.
3. Handle case assignments & review case progress through all program phases for day or residential stay-in clients.
4. Facilitate the implementation of the individual care plan, assess and address motivational and psychosocial issues, and set goals as part of the care plan, not limiting itself to conducting mid-term reviews.
5. Identify and develop additional resources where necessary that could best serve the needs of the residents.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma in Social Work or any related discipline.
2. Experience working in a residential home setting is advantageous.
3. At least three (3) years of relevant social work experience in case management and operations with young clients ages 18 – 25.
4. Passion for working with youth, young adults, and families from vulnerable backgrounds.

The Challenge

The doctor will be part of a team assisting in managing patients, with duties including conducting daily ward rounds, as well as supervision and teaching of House Officers. Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for Executive / Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer) who is self-motivated, proactive in problem solving and a strong team player. The candidate will be part of the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study team, a flagship Singapore population health study jointly conducted by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London. We aim to profile the health and behavior of up to 10,000 people from the general Singapore population over the next few years. We are conducting (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) biomarkers for chronic diseases.

The candidate will play a key role mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Take participants’ informed consent for study, verify eligibility and systematically performing drug and supplement verification.

• Assist in collection of biological samples for research.

• Assist in conducting health and lifestyle questionnaire, dietary and/or cognitive assessment.

• Perform physiological assessment according to Standard Operating Procedures and record measurements. These physiological assessments include body composition, lung, eye, skin and heart function using sophisticated medical devices (training will be provided)

Candidates should have:

• A positive attitude and ability to learn new skills are essential attributes to succeed in this role.

• Diploma / Degree in Allied Health / Biomedical Sciences or similar disciplines. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for a full-time Executive/ Senior Executive, Clinical Research Officer (Biobanking) for the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study. This study is undertaken jointly by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London (www.healthforlife.sg). It aims to profile the health and behaviour of people from the general Singapore population. The scope of the study is segmented into (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, grip strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) investigating biomarkers for chronic diseases. We have just received funding for Phase 2 of the study and are expanding our biobanking team to allow the study to reach out to more people.

The Clinical Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the study, mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Receive and process biological samples for banking purposes; with accuracy and in a timely manner without compromising sample quality.

• Assist in frozen sample retrieval and sorting.

• Perform nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) extraction and quantification.

• Perform daily routine measurements on analytical systems.

• Monitor quality standards by verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance, running daily quality controls and calibrations.

• Perform general administrative work such as tracking the supply of daily consumables and coordinate with vendors/suppliers on procurement matters.

• Able to commit to rotating shifts; afternoon shifts on weekdays, and on Saturdays.

Training will be provided to level the skillsets needed to perform these roles.

Candidates should have:

• Diploma/degree in biomedical sciences, biotechnology or related fields

• Relevant professional experience with technical laboratory operations (advantage)

• A positive attitude and work ethics, and is a team player

• The ability to learn new skills, which is an essential attribute to succeed in this role

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Front Office Manager in planning, coordinating and controlling room reservation operations in the hotel.
• Handle tour groups/ ad-hoc groups, convention bookings and other correspondence pertaining to contracts by commercial companies, Travel Agents and Airlines.
• Ensure that the Front Desk staff, Reservation Agents are kept up to date with information concerning the hotel and department.
• Ensure that all daily transactions are keyed into the computer system and updated.
• Handle all incoming mails for reservations and highlights the important requirements and information.
• Attend to all replies for letters and fax with regard to room reservations.
• Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Possess at least a Professional Certificate/Higher NITEC in Hospitality Operations or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in related field
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Hotel systems
• Strong ability to work independently as well as a team player
