Recruitment
- Drive talent acquisition efforts, exploring relevant channels in the retail industry.
- Strengthen employer branding by creating an attractive Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to attract and retain top talent.
- Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to understand talent needs and ensure accurate job descriptions for candidate identification.
- Conduct pre-screening interviews, aptitude tests, and utilize profiling tools for skills, experience, and culture fit assessment.
- Participate in interviews with hiring managers, providing guidance to enhance their interviewing skills.
- Enhance the interview and onboarding experience
- Conduct induction programme for new hires
Operational Excellence
- Conduct reference checks, handle salary negotiations, prepare employment contracts, and facilitate work pass applications.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the annual budgeting exercise.
- Streamline processes to enhance efficiency.
- Manage internal staff communication channels
Employee Engagement
- Organize annual employment satisfaction surveys, analyze results, and support action plans as needed
- Plan and coordinate employee activities with diversity and inclusion mind, such as appreciation lunch, group exercise, health talks and CSR events
- Maintain the yearly event calendar
HR System and HR projects
- Project manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and the HRMS vendor to ensure successful implementation of the new system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues while acting as a liaison between HR and IT.
- Lead and participate in ad hoc HR projects, such as job redesign initiatives, HR policy reviews and updates, the development of internal referral programs, and new hire buddy programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of HR business partner or talent acquisition experience
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Personable and approachable while being firm, fair and objective with decisions
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organization
- Experience in retail or service industry
- Good analytical and project management skills
