[What the role is]
This Head / Senior Technology Development Engineer will hold a critical role in advancing the technological capabilities of our organization in the field of material formation. This role offers a compelling opportunity to lead and contribute to the development of innovative solutions, significantly impacting our organization's technological advancements.
[What you will be working on]
- To formulate high strength metal alloy for various industrial applications
- To manage the metal processing services and multi-physics simulation offer to the industries
- To set up new metal development facilities and simulation capabilities
- To assist academic staff in responding to technical challenges as well as to develop their technical skills
[What we are looking for]
- Suitable credentials either in Materials Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Familiar with local R&D development as well as specialised materials needed in the industry sectors
- Experience in any high strength metal alloy processing and development
- Skill in multi-physics simulation and familiar with various simulation software such as Ansys, Abaqus, mold flow etc
- Experience in project managements of commercial and funded projects.
- Knowledge in the characterization tools and techniques such as SEM/EDX, XRD, metallography, tensile testing, hardness testing, thermal and electrical conductivity testing will be an advantage
