The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre invites applications for Postdoctoral Associate positions in the area of crystallization science and particle engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the design and engineering of advanced microparticle-based pharmaceutical drug products comprising soft (polymer/hydrogel) matrices containing crystalline drug particles, typically made using microfluidic methods. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with a consortium of pharmaceutical companies (GSK, Merck and Pfizer). He/she will be reporting to Prof. Patrick S. Doyle (MIT, SMART) and Prof Saif A. Khan (NUS, SMART) and work with their team of researchers and collaborators.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be working closely with CAMP researchers and industry collaborators to develop a high-throuhgput process to manufacture engineered particles.

Principal duties are

• Generate various pharmecutical particles using microfluidics devices.

• Perform appropriate analysises to characterize the engineered particles.

• Understand a process scale-up in order to translate the technology into an industrial domain.

Your team:

Our team works closely with the APAC Chief Business Officer, Regional Head of GOTO, senior regional leadership and technology functions to enable the GOTO strategy across the region. The Group Operations and Technology Office (GOTO) is a global, multi-disciplined organization comprising both technologists and non technical staff. GOTO APAC is a 3000+ strong, diverse workforce present in 12 locations.

You’ll be working in the Chief Business Office (CBO) team based in Singapore, also supporting the other APAC locations. Our culture centers around partnership with our businesses, transparency, accountability and empowerment, and passion for the future.

Your expertise:

• Have experience in shaping technology strategy deliverables for senior audiences, both Technology and non-Technology
• Participate in strategic initiatives, including leading them and reporting results back to Management Forums
• Have a flexible nature and are willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the Chief Business Office and Technology functions
• Provide reporting support to the APAC Chief Business Officer to aid in the ad-hoc preparation of material for Group Executive Board (GEB), Board of Directors (BoD) and other executive level stakeholders
• Support members of the GOTO APAC Leadership Forum to perform their duties to the best of their ability
• Provide training and coaching for other staff members. Execution of function wide training initiatives
• Keep up with technology industry trends and thought leadership by having a strong interest in tech and willingness to communicate with peers and challenge the current ways of working
• Identify opportunities to improve the teams’ processes, analytics & overall operational efficiencies
• Execute culture agenda / people strategy as defined by GOTO and technology functions
• Management support in the derivation of the organizational strategy and engage with colleagues at all levels to meet business requirements
• Lead and provide oversight on tracking all deliverables / multiple projects of work, which must be prepared / completed on behalf of the function

Roles & Responsibilities:

· As a Business Development Manager specializing in Energy Storage Systems for Commercial Electric Vehicles, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Durapower's footprint in various segments, including Automotive Buses, Autonomous Guided Vehicles, Cranes, and Port Equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

· Make use of market research and competitive analysis in segments mainly on Commercial Electric Vehicles (CEV), Heavy Duty Applications, Marine, Harbour Operations, Energy Infrastructure, Microgrids, Commercial and Industrial, Residential, Telecom, and UPS.

· Stay abreast of emerging segments, international regulations, and industry trends, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region.

· Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with international partners.

· Contribute to product strategies aligned with market demands and trends.

· Work closely with System Engineers & Project Management efforts for strategic initiatives.

· Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

· Collaborate closely with the Business Development and Marketing functions to drive growth.

· Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Commercial Sales Acumen.

· 5-15 years of experience in strategy, technical sales, or consulting.

· Preference for candidates with project sales pursuit capabilities and segment-specific experience in Commercial Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage Systems/Stationary projects, power conversion, or battery/energy management systems.

· Experience working collaboratively with diverse cultures.

· Travel may be up to 25%.

Commercial-Techno Expertise

· Commercial Electric Vehicle (CEV) in APAC Sales fundamentals and project pursuits and secondary sales development for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) with lithium-ion battery.

· Other than Sales, active participation on know-how on proposal process and integration of battery cells, battery modular systems packs to system integration with other Electrical / Electronics subcomponents and monitoring systems.

· Participate in protecting and construing contractual obligations on commissioning and maintenance support of battery storage in project applications know-how.

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), together with the Earth Observatory of Singapore, is looking for a Research Fellow to make an important contribution to the research project: “Climate Transformation Program (CTP): Cross Cutting Theme 1 – Sustainable Societies” funded by the MOE Tier 3C Grant. CTP aims to develop, inspire, and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies.

CTP will generate knowledge and innovation across disciplines including climate and Earth science, ecology, materials science, artificial intelligence, humanities, social sciences and the arts, finance, health, and engineering. It will also translate state-of-the-art scientific results into real world solutions for Singapore, and it will transfer these solutions to Southeast Asia (SEA) and beyond.

As part of this programme, “Cross-cutting theme 1: Sustainable Societies”, this theme will leverage climate research in communication, public opinion and psychology, and artistic impressions to shape public attitudes and behaviours towards climate change issues. The Research Fellow will work directly with the PI of the Sustainable Societies theme, Professor Shirley Ho, based in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in conducting literature searches and manuscript preparation.
• Track online public discourses using sentiment analysis.
• Conduct statistical analyses using sentiment analysis.
• Contribute to research publications and presentations.
• Write progress report and final research report.
• Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• Carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary.

• PhD degree in communication, psychology, sociology, social science, information, or a computer science related discipline.
• Strong foundation in content and sentiment analysis, as well as analytical skills (e.g., SPSS, MPLUS, or R).

The Requirements

● Legal Authorized to work in Singapore without work/employment visa
sponsorship.

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

● Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in similar field.

● Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, or R.

● Experience in BI and visualization tools: PowerBI/Tableau, Streamlit, is preferred.

● Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques relevant to financial data.

● Proficient in English and Mandarin to liaise with China's stakeholder and counterpart.

● Possess strong interpersonal skills, organized, resourceful and good problem-solving abilities.

● Able to coordinate and communicate with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic atmosphere and comfortable working in a startup company.
