Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is hiring a full-time Research Engineer I for a project investigating how information cascades in closed messaging app groups, such as Telegram.

The engineer will be developing and applying machine learning, network analysis, and multimodal data to understand information cascades in closed messaging apps.  The engineer is expected to conduct data mining, network analysis and machine learning on Telegram chats to understand information cascades revolving national issues in closed messaging apps. The engineer will work closely with research project members at WKWSCI, to deliver algorithms that automate user classification and topic modelling, that will later serve as protocols for other topics.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced publisher capable of teaching HL6212 Technology and Electronic Publishing as one of our offerings in the Master of Arts in Creative Writing and Publishing within the School of Humanities. Candidates should have a proven track-record in the publishing industry. The instructor will be responsible for leading workshops and seminars for three class hours per week, in addition to syllabus planning, class preparation, marking for assessment and student consultation.

The role reports into the B2B Acceptance team within VBS.   Our focus within B2B Acceptance is to identify needs, assess opportunities and options and quickly act upon our vision while ensuring strong execution. This role specifically is responsible for building and expanding Merchant relationships in multiple Asian markets. Specific responsibilities for this role may include:

• Managing a portfolio of top B2B merchants with significant commercial payment volume for Visa.

• Oversee Merchants with a consultative and strategic approach to uncover a full understanding of their card acceptance processes and challenges.
