• Assist engineer to do improvement and monitor performance of equipment for optimization of equipment functionality
• Troubleshoot and repair Utility equipment and Electrical installation safety
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for equipment maintenance and repairs
• Look for shortfalls in quality and quantity on daily tasks and work on small improvements
• Support and attend to daily ad hoc request with regards to maintenance
• Keep track of equipment spares and work with maintenance planner to replenish the spares upon depletion
• Attend to off-office hour call back to repair equipment breakdown
• Plan, organize and oversee work performed by in-house contractor and external contractor engaged for maintenance work.

Academic Background

• NTC/ITC/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical background
• 4 or more years of experience in maintenance
• Preferably with experience running of utilities and/or electrical installation.

Technical Skills

• Familiar with basic SAP Plant Maintenance function (module)
• Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
• Good coordination skills with contractors/vendors
• Interpret P&ID and mechanical/electrical drawings

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure projects are well executed within budget, on schedule, safely and with good quality.

2. Generate engineering drawings and calculate bill of materials.

3. Liase with vendors/contractors and production team for smooth project execution.

4. Prepare and submit project documentation (MDR/Operation Manual)

5. Prepare cost estimates, quotations and tenders.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines with 2 years experience or O level with at least 5 years of relevant experience

2. Experience in steel works and site installation works. Knowledge in tanks/piping fabrication and/or building construction project management.

The Technician supports the execution and maintenance of safe and reliable plant operations.

Job Description:

• Carry out blending process operations, perform filling of blended products into drums and isotainers in a safe and efficient manner.

• Carry out chemical additives transfer between bulk packages (tank farm storage tanks, marine vessel bulk) and smaller packages (isotainers, IBCs and drums).

• Control inventory (physical & documentary aspect), including tank gauging & sampling.

• Conduct line pigging and equipment flushing during batch changeover and handle regular start up, shutdown and commissioning of critical process equipment.

• Manage isotainer and storage tank heating in a safe manner.

• Operate plant air compressor, steam boilers, hot oil furnace, pumps, heat exchangers, rotary equipment etc. in a safe manner.

• Carry out minor maintenance work, 5S improvement projects and energy conservation initiatives.

• Adhere to all in house safety, security, industrial hygiene standards and HSES & Quality regulations.

• Able to handle forklift equipment, training will be provided.

• Perform any other production duties assigned by the Operations Superintendent.

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC in any Engineering or Technical field.

• Minimum experience equivalent to 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Prior technical experience in chemical company or prior working experience in a lubricant blending company would be an advantage.

• Able to perform night duty when required.

• Good technical skills in handling rotary equipment & pipeline operations.

• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, etc.
