Duties and Responsibilities

We looking for an organised and self-motivated Office Administrator who will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensures smooth running of the organisation.

Reports to HR Senior Manager

· Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies

· Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages (in/out) etc.)

· Support HR admin and simple bookkeeping procedures

· Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data

· Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary

· Manage office vendors

· Manage provision/vouchers collections

Requirements:

Job Responsibilites

· Manage the overall delivery of the project on or ahead of time with all client expectations met.

· Assign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly and long-term project goals.

· Stakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained.

· People management: Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors and foster a high performance team with a positive employee relations environment.

· Contribute to new business, continuous improvement and broader business activities

· Coordinate with headquarter and site team to obtain enough resources for the projects

· Organize a proper project management team & plan to carry out the construction works

· Perform all duties in accordance with company’s polices, processes, systems, reporting and procedures.

Job Requirement:

· Holds a Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree.

· Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in construction industry.

· At least twelve (12) years of experience in managing big scale Bridge and Marine related projects will be prefered.

· Possess effective time-management skills to meet deadlines and planned deliverables.

• To guide consultants and review their design to ensure the design adequacy to meet the relevant requirements and preferences of the contract.
• To optimize the design to reduce cost and construction schedule effectively.
• To coordinate with construction team to ensure the feasibility and constructability of the designed scheme.
• To train and enhance capabilities of design engineers/managers.

Responsibilities

This role reports to the Deputy Director of IDO and your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Focal strategies to guide industry development:

• Lead and oversee the development of strategies to grow and develop the Singapore design ecosystem to be globally unique, relevant and competitive. This includes support for design businesses to capture new opportunities in the future of sustainable design and design for care, enabled by emerging technologies. Other focal areas may surface as the team engages the industry. Your starting focus will be on sustainable design.

Internationalisation and Profiling:

• Lead the development and implementation of strategies to support Singapore design businesses in internationalisation and be continually aware of global design and business trends to assess appropriate interventions in a rapidly changing business landscape.

Engagement with Internal and External Stakeholders:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of, and characterise, the state of Singapore design and its evolving business needs and aspirations, across the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, urban design and town planning, fashion design, furniture design, visual communications, as well as multi-disciplinary design and emerging practices like service design and experience design.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to identify appropriate cross-collaborations in developing the industry and providing holistic support. Key stakeholders include other units within Dsg, government agencies, design trade associations, and any other leading industry players.

Requirements

To meet the challenges of this role, you must be/have:

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience in industry development or design management
