Job Scope

• Actively participate in business development activities to identify and reach out to potential clients and projects
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their objectives

We are hiring an Assistant director for our data protection team who will be driving the development and implementation of data protection policies and processes, to ensure Synapxe's compliance with the Healthcare Instruction Manual(HIM) and regulatory requirements such as the PDPA

Roles and Responsibilities

· Ensure organisation's compliance to the PDPA and data protection policies which includes the development and maintenance of the Data Security Maintenance Plan (DSMP)

· Provide updates on data protection compliance to senior management

· Monitor the handling of personal data across the organisation

· Oversee the maintenance of records required to demonstrate data protection compliance

· Develop and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) to identify, assess and address the risks

· Propose measures to manage risks associated with the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal data

· Manage and report any breaches according to the organisation's data breach management process including incident response, notifications of affected individuals, investigations and closure

· Drive awareness of PDPA and Data Protection requirements in the organisation including the development training programmes to foster a strong data protection culture

· Provide advisory services on data protection issues, including specific data-related products and projects and contractual obligations (alongside the Legal team)

· Act as the organisation's key point of contact with the PDPA regulatory authorities and to data subjects when exercising their individual data rights

Requirements
