As a Mechanical Design Engineer at AEM, you will be responsible for design and development of high-quality precision material handling systems that involves the thermal heads. You will be working closely with Electrical and Software Engineers to define the requirements for the creation of business solutions. You will be responsible for mechanical component selection, tolerance analysis, motion system design, component evaluation, overall system integration, and finally release to manufacturing. Completing the mechanical analysis of the characterization/validation and reviewing and communicating the data/results/risks/recommendations in technical reviews. Department Overview:

The Stage Product Development focuses on bespoke designs for customers in a wide range of industries, such as semiconductor, solar, flat panel, hard disk, LED, printed circuit board and 3D printing. In these stages and systems, it comprises of many components such as motors, encoders, bearings, designed fabricated parts, pneumatics, and many more to assemble into a multi-axis stage specifically designed to meet specifications provided by customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with customers
• Understand specifications or requirements from customers
• Design or illustrate electrical diagrams, cables and control boxes
• Liaise with various departments such as purchasing and manufacturing to generate lead times for customers Generate Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Generate engineering drawings ready for fabrication
• Verify or qualify cables or electrical components to see if it is suitable to be used for usage on a stage Work hand in hand with the cabling and testing team to troubleshoot issues
• Work closely with engineers from various departments like Applications, Mechanical, Motor, Encoder, Manufacturing to ensure progress of projects
• Guide technicians in the assembly floor for prototype stages
• Hands-on in the assembly floor and make decisions to modify or change parts in the design Conduct basic tests to characterize and measure specifications during testing phase
• Conduct investigative works and make proper assessment of issues from Return Material Authorization (RMA)
• Generate Engineering Change Notice (ECN)
• Generate Work Instruction (WI) Perform tasks related to project closure
• Prepare documents and work with respective departments to run stages into mass production

• Must possess at least a Diploma in Engineering
• Applicants with experience in electrical or mechatronic related fields will be advantageous
• Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge in their course of study are welcome to apply

Skillset(s) Requirement:

• Drafting using EPLAN, NanoCAD, AutoCAD and Draftsight
• Microsoft tools such as Excel, Words and Powerpoint
• Cabling tools such as soldering irons, crimpers and multimeters

• Must be able to work well with a colleagues of all traits. Engineers, technicians, purchasers, project managers, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Track in-process quality-related issues and incidents in master issue list and periodically report on trends, insights, and closure status to BU management.
• Understand and classify issues into discipline such as quality, operational, design, etc.
• Host post-mortem discussion during each project closure to review issues and identify preventive action plan for each issue.
• Participate in manufacturing departments to track non-conformance reports filed during buy-off process and define preventive action plan.
• Champion long-term quality improvement efforts (new processes, structural changes, training, etc.) within the business unit to increase metrics such as first-pass yield and number of quality-related returns.
• Track and investigate quality-related returns and customer complaints with a view to long-term prevention.
• Coordinate First Article Inspection Process for new manufacturing processes or parts
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements based on lean manufacturing principles
• Supervise and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Ensure the manufacturing facility maintains ISO certification.
• Coordinate and oversee all ISO-related activities, including internal and external audits.
• Act as the main point of contact for ISO certification bodies.
• Serve as the Management Representative (MR) for the QMS.
• Report to top management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvements.
• Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.

• 5 - 8 years' experience working in quality assurance is required.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM) is preferred.
• Six Sigma certification is beneficial but not mandatory.

This position is newly created as part of our digital transformation. You will be driving the internal stakeholders from all parts of the business to institutionalize data reporting and frameworks effective for leaders to obtain people insights for validation, decision making and strategy planning.

In This Role You Will

• Build a holistic HR data warehouse for people analytics across all business units including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, UK, Hong Kong, and Macau
• Perform data mining, cleaning, assess data requirements, building data collection and consolidation processes for all countries HRs and business stakeholders including supporting with automations and analytics projects
• Lead, guide, work with the respective HR in the aforesaid countries to connect all data sources as part of the role to build HR data warehouse
• HR lead of HRIS overhaul projects including multiple stakeholder management from different business units and divisions
• Deploy interim and new HRIS including conducting user training to existing and new staff members
• Diagnose business requirements across all countries and functional departments,
• Design, develop, and deploy interim and new HR data products including suite of dashboards, insights, reports, complex requests, and analytic tools. Deployment of HR products are to be done digitally and via physical interactions, training, and business partnering
• Present data insights to leaders in the visualization most palatable and palpable for users to understand, helping them to interpret data and their nuances
• Suggest recommendations of solutions based on the data insight and business needs,
• Identity business case and challenges
• Conduct organisation and human behaviour research to identify opportunities, present insights and suggest HR strategy to solve business problems and creating impacts,
• Provide insights of future skills and future of works for leaders to stay relevant in their current strategy for the future
• Lead automation projects in HR to improve HR efficiency enhance employee experience,
• Improve the efforts on changing needs of holistic data ecosystems and analytic tools

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, or Computer Science, Mathematics, Research, Organisation or Behavioural Science
• 5 years or more of work experience with complex and regional human capital datasets with an emphasis employee related research
• Ability to handle large, complex datasets, identify and rectify errors, inaccuracy, interpret and explain in simplified visualisation, findings and results to various audience
• Having hands-on experience in developing automation processes for data collection and consolidation
• Experimental, strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, including able to address issues arise at hands in collaboration with others
• Proactive in leading change and anticipate challenges, problems and opportunities and having the entrepreneurship and risk taking spirit to experiment different initiative to a solutions

Technical Skills

• Extensive knowledge and skills in visualisation tool preferably in QlikView and Qlik Sense
• Extensive knowledge and skills in Excel
• Skills in designing and developing business dashboards and data visualizations in BI platforms
• Experience with SQL or other languages/statistical packages including preferably in R and Python
• Proven knowledge in academic research methodologies, and application of advanced and multivariate statistical methodologies including regression, clustering, probability, etc.
