Based in Singapore, the Treasury Group (TG) manages the Branch’s investment portfolio, Asset and Liability Management (ALM), and Liquidity Management. TG invests in various products, primarily in interest rate and credit risk products.

Assistant Manager will be responsible for contributing to portfolio investments, ALM and liquidity management, including executing trades.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform due diligence and analysis on investment opportunities across multi-asset classes including bonds and equities.
• Monitor financial markets and contribute to decision making of investments.

Job Scope

• Be the primary technical contact for customers and in house repair jobs

• Ensuring at all times in compliance with IMO, CLASS, Flag state and local port authorities regulations.

• Ensuring minimum recommendation spare inventory is maintained and essential critical equipment spares are kept onboard the assigned ships
• Responsible for the KPIs and the monitoring of the assigned ship’s performance to ensure compliance with established plans and to identify improvement potentials for the continuous improvement process ERP.

• Working with financial institutions on regulatory compliance matters such as advising on regulatory definitions and interpretations, performing quality reviews of existing risk processes and controls and developing relevant regulatory risk processes and controls to help manage the institutions’ regulatory obligations
• Collaborating with clients to identify potential growth opportunities and establish new business lines in Singapore (e.g. review business plans and licence applications, review new products or services, define new target operating models, re-design current processes)

Experience and skills required:

• Excellent academic background, including a Bachelor or Master degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or Law. Professional qualification in CFA/FRM would be a plus
• At least 1-2 years relevant experience in financial institutions, compliance advisory firms, or public accounting firms
• Sound understanding of the key operations of a banking institution, capital markets intermediary and/or payment services provider. An understanding of derivatives and financial instruments is required
