Overview

Project Overview

The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre invites applications for Postdoctoral Associate positions in the area of crystallization science and particle engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the design and engineering of advanced microparticle-based pharmaceutical drug products comprising soft (polymer/hydrogel) matrices containing crystalline drug particles, typically made using microfluidic methods. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with a consortium of pharmaceutical companies (GSK, Merck and Pfizer). He/she will be reporting to Prof. Patrick S. Doyle (MIT, SMART) and Prof Saif A. Khan (NUS, SMART) and work with their team of researchers and collaborators.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a wet-lab Research Assistant, who has experience in working with mice models and performing molecular and cellular experiments to study cardio/pulmonary/kidney and immune-fibrotic traits, with the aim of deciphering the primary genetic factors and regulatory networks underlying cardio-metabolic diseases. The position will be for a period of 2 years, with possibility of renewal depending on the candidate’s work performance and contribution to the project .

The selected candidate will provide expertise in conducting research activities within the overall scope of the research project, including but not limited to the following:
