The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) is a University Research Institute at NTU with a mission to conduct fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, towards safer and more sustainable societies.

EOS invites applications for a Research Fellow in palynology (pollen) and sedimentology research relating to tropical mangrove environments in Singapore. The position will involve the use of sedimentary cores to reconstruct the geomorphic evolution of mangrove systems and investigate mangrove survival thresholds and ecological tipping points relating to past sea-level change. Job Description

• In charge of the full finance function of a manufacturing plant in Singapore, managing a team of 8 accountants, and two distinct business divisions of tooling development and manufacturing,
• Manage finance accounting function, including but not limited to financial reporting, taxation, external audit, bookkeeping, accounting policies, etc.
• Manage FP&A function, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure, manufacturing costing, operating metrics, etc.
• Manage corporate affairs function, including but not limited to accounting policies, approval limits, corporate processes, internal audit corporate secretarial matters, etc.
• Balance sheet management, including but not limited to cashflow, Inventory, AR, and AP management, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards, and in compliance with the H.S.A GDP Guidelines.
• Provide support for investigation into non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Maintenance and Follow-up on Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
• Provide the trainings and coordinate the trainings for the staff.
• Registration of the trainings into the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) and running of reports.
• Assist with the documentation review after an operational activity.
• Collection of Temperature Data and Monitoring of the temperature environmental conditions.
• Reporting of day-to-day activities.
• Take care of and communicate with internal and external contacts.
• Control administrational aspects of the facility (e.g. archiving).

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or relevant fields.
• Possess at least 2 years of pharmaceutical science work experience (or prior Life Science internship experience) is preferable .
• Experience with ISO 13485 standards is an advantage.
• Knowledge of GMP and/ or GDP guidelines is an advantage.
