Job Summary

Assist the Director of Rooms in the supervision of the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel or company business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.

· Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on increasing productivity.

· Maintain proper inventory levels, managing cost per room for supplies and labour (example: bed & bath linen reuse and laundry operation)

· Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.

· Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.

· Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads.

· May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high volume periods.

· To ensure staff in housekeeping annual leave and public holiday leave are cleared as per schedule.

· Does interview and counseling of staff and carry out performance appraisal of staff annually.

· Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.

· Routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary including making beds, and vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

· Carry out special needs and requests of the guests, VIP’s and repeat visitors.

· Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste and maintaining “green” initiatives (example: container recycling and cleaning agents).

· Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.

· To carry out monthly checklist for guest room condition and status in terms of furnishing and fittings.

· To ensure the periodical cleaning schedule for both guest rooms and public area are duly carried out.

· Perform other duties as assigned and may also serve as manager on duty.

Project Management

• To manage the planning and running of assigned research programme(s) and projects, including managing the timelines and coordinating the execution of project plans and initiatives, tracking project performance, managing associated initiatives and publicity efforts, etc. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met within timelines.
• Work closely with relevant stakeholders on the ground coordination of projects including logistical planning and execution.
• Coordinate the planning and execution of associated initiatives and publicity plans separately or in conjunction with other major events.
• Manage approved funding and expenditure, including corresponding with funder, handling purchases and tracking the utilization of budget.
• Monitor progress of the projects and coordinate regular reviews with the project team and relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in regulatory and IRB approvals for the research projects under the research programme(s), where necessary.
• Assist in preparation of relevant reports/ presentations/ materials

Expectations of a Media Executive:

• Candidate must possess Post Graduate Diploma or a Diploma in Accountancy with min 3 years experience in managing full set of accounts-preferable.

As the Catering Sales Executive, you will responsible for driving business through direct sales solicitation for the assigned segment sand support overall catering and events revenue for the hotel.

People

• Work closely with Banquet and other departments to facilitate services agreed upon and to ensure the overall success of the event
• Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination with other departments
• Coordinate details with other departments such as VIP amenities, special requests, or other service needs or special handling.
• Ensure active management of personal development plan

Financial

• Manage events functions to achieve the optimum departmental revenue targets
• Follow up on potential sales leads within the designated time frame
• Contribute to the design of meeting packages to maximise the conversions and profitability for the hotel.
• Negotiate and review events packages offered to clients
• Represent the hotel in trade shows and events as required
• Prepare contracts for confirmed events & social events
• Be up to date with current meeting & events trends and competitive packages in the market
• Confident and professional approach when dealing with clients and wedding suppliers

Guest Experience

• Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients.
• Proficient in the application of all Sales tool and systems; maintenance and management of database, support with departmental reports
• Promote guest satisfaction and encourage referrals
• Handle feedback and resolve complaints from guests
• Maintain client files and update information daily in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction

As Executive Manager / Assistant Director (Treasury Branch) in the Finance Division, you will need to assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilisation of financial resources in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Agency.

You will be part of the team that manages the liquidity, investment and financing activities of the Agency. Your responsibilities include the following:

• Perform treasury activities related to cash flow projection, portfolio investments, borrowings, debt, and capital management

• Manage debt financing plan in collaboration with project stakeholders and external parties (such as consultants and banks)

• Administer debt financing programme including setting up reports and systems to support and manage the related activities, measuring and maintaining key financial metrics, monitoring debt compliance and green bond requirements, and servicing debt obligations

• Make future projections about cash flow position and determine related borrowing needs and funds available for investment

• Manage cash and investment portfolios

• Monitor and report on the investment portfolios and external fund managers for compliance with investment policy and guidelines and any statutory legislation

• Identify, control, mitigate, monitor and manage financial risks associated with debt financing and portfolio investments

[What we are looking for]

• At least 6 years of relevant working experience in treasury management

• Excellent technical knowledge of financial and capital markets and products

• Conversant with local regulatory environment related to the business including any finance, accounting and tax requirement

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (including financial modelling) and intermediate PowerPoint skills

• Experience or knowledge in Bloomberg, data visualisation tools and other applicable treasury technology and systems

• Analytical thinking and reasoning ability and meticulous with an eye for detail

• Excellent planning, problem-solving and execution skills

• Good communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills
