Report to and is accountable to an Engineering Manager, Engineering Section Leader, or a higher titled engineer (as defined by the manager) and is responsible for performing engineering activities as defined in procedures and work instructions.

Job Duties

· Shall include performing hand or computer assisted calculations, creation of DVR packages for safety critical equipment, review and approval of engineering drawings, processing engineering design changes, interfacing with other Dril-Quip departments, participating in Engineering Design Reviews and dispositioning NCR’s.

· Additionally, this position is responsible for creating new product designs and/or improving existing product designs.

· Interacts with customers/suppliers/vendors and assists with development of technical specifications.

· Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.

· Has fundamental understanding of various industry standards (both regional and global) in addition to recommended practices.

· Can direct and mentor younger, less experienced engineering personnel.

Minimum Requirements

· Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university

· Typically, a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the design and application of engineered offshore drilling and production equipment, preferably in an oilfield equipment manufacturing environment.

· Knowledge of connectors, diverters and mudlines will be of added advantage.

Role Purpose:

• Ensure that all construction milestone dates can be achieved as per schedule.
• Assist in the management of document control process throughout the duration of project.

• Conduct regular inspection and ensure that sub-contractor site work team work according to construction’s requirement.
• Manage and execute the site works and plans at the yard and ensure that the technicalities of construction requirements and standards are adhered to.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Technical college certificate.
• Track record of construction of at least 2 FPSO project with module fabrication, integration of marine and topside modules.
• Minimum of 6 years work experience in EPC of onshore/offshore oil and gas or FPSO projects.

• Design of semi-submersible substructure/floater for 15MW Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT)
• Responsible for performing all structural analysis, design calculations and MTO of semi-submersible substructure/floater and steel structures
• Perform all scantling calculations for main/primary, secondary and tertiary steel structures of Marine Offshore modules
