We are seeking for a dynamic and committed individual to join our team as a Management Trainee. This role focuses on overseeing daily logistic operations ranging from deliveries assigned by our partners to daily warehouse activities. The trainee will be learning all aspects of company’s businesses and to acquire skills needed to assume a management position

Responsibilities

• Learning all aspects of company’s businesses and to acquire skills needed to assume a management position.
• Provide full spectrum of administrative and operational support in day-to-day business’s Operations.
• Develop and review project plans, track issues, facilitate and coordinate with various team members effectively.
• Route Management – Well verse in Singapore Road Directory in order to plan efficiently for daily deliveries. (Training will be provided)
• Learn the management viewpoints, company policies and best practices through assignments.
• Study existing work flow to improve on processes and procedures to enhance overall organisational efficiency.
• Manage and evaluate daily operations including liaising with internal staffs, contractors.
• Developing, coaching and disciplining staffs.
• Managing daily delivery KPI’s to ensure that Company's targets are met.
• Ensuring Health and Safety Security requirement are met
• Ensure SOP’s requirements and procedures are understood, implemented and compiled by all staffs and external contractors.
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
• Work Location: Cendex Centre, Lower Delta Road

Minimum requirement

· Min Diploma holder in any fields

· No experience required as on-job training will be provided

· Self-motivated & results oriented with a good learning attitude

· Able to take challenges and be a Problem Solver

· Class 3 driving License

· Proficient in MS Excel, with advance knowledge in Excel an advantage eg: Pivot table

Requires you to travel locally when required.

Established in 2007, the SMU School of Social Sciences (SOSS) provides high quality undergraduate and graduate education expanding SMU’s pedagogical strategy to the study of society, government, and individuals embedded within an increasingly complex world. With faculty expertise and research spanning the disciplines of psychology, political science, sociology, and philosophy, SOSS’s research covers key thematic areas such as international development, policy and politics, Southeast Asian studies, social movements, and sustainability. It currently has a PhD programme in Psychology, with plans to expand its taught postgraduate offerings into other disciplines as part of its growth plan. The School aspires to make a significant and lasting contribution across sectors through its integrative approach to the study of social issues.

Position

The School of Social Sciences (SOSS) invites applications for an Associate Professor (Tenured) position in Psychology to begin in July 2025. The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses across several major areas of psychology, such as but not limited to Introduction to Psychology, Industrial-Organisational Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Research Methods.

We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of internationally excellent scholarly research and excellent teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in psychology. The position requires the candidate to be in this position for a significant number of years by the date of appointment.

Singapore Management University is committed to an interdisciplinary and integrated curriculum, providing opportunities to work with faculty across the social sciences. The research support is excellent, and salary and benefits are highly competitive. The teaching load is relatively light and undergraduate classes are capped at no more than 45 students.

Candidate Criteria

Applicants must have:

· A record of internationally excellent research in the discipline of psychology.

· Teaching experience in a variety of core and specialised psychology courses, at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

· Experience with applying for competitive research grants.

· Experience with supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.

· Evidence of excellence in teaching delivery.

· Excellent communication skills.

· The ability to work in a team with colleagues across a variety of social science disciplines.
