Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives

• Provide technical support to ensure smooth manufacturing operation and minimum disruption to the operation process.
• Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures, implementing of maintenance program (corrective, preventive, predictive) for the work area.
• Responsible for the troubleshooting/ investigation support of Manufacturing operation in compliance with the Site Safety and GMP procedures.
• Responsible to support any projects being executed internally or by vendors.
• Manage and lead contractor, vendors and service providers to perform maintenance works.
• To manage the obsolescence and asset replacement accordance to site requirement and engineering standards,
• Lead in continuous improvement efforts/ projects and responsible for support and execution of automation qualification such as FAT, SAT, Commissioning, Validation, CCA, VCR, IQ, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills and experience required

• Ability to perform troubleshooting and work on difference types of PLC programming language (Siemens Step 7, Rockwell RS Logix, B&R automation).
• Good knowledge on field instrumentations (temperature & pressure transmitter, control valve)
• Able to perform simple instrument calibration and troubleshooting.
• Read and Interpret maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, work orders, process and instrumentation (P&ID) diagram and electrical schematics to perform required maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting

27. Oversee the development of production indicators, man-hour standards, work instructions and risk assessments.
28. Act on behalf of the COO in his absence.

Minimum Requirements

• A Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Engineering Maintenance Services and 5 years’ experience at the managerial level.

Purpose

Operations Technician / Senior Operations Technician:
The incumbent operates all equipment and facilities in his assigned area safely and efficiently and keeps the same in good state of maintenance. He works
closely in a team, keeping in close contact and in particular, highlights all items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.

Senior Operations Technician:
The incumbent is primarily responsible for smooth, safe and efficient operations of assigned process stages. He ensures associated facilities are kept in
good maintenance. He assists the production superintendent in giving work directions to technicians and deputies for the superintendent from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs batch / unit or ancillary operations safely and efficiently following standard operating procedures and as necessary, leads technicians in unit operations. Takes in process samples and carries out checks using analytical instruments.
• Do routine mechanical and lubrication checks and where required, carries out early maintenance and repair using hand tools.
• Performs materials handling and movement using hand-pallet trucks, reach truck or other material handling equipment in a safe manner, following standard operating procedures.
• Ensures that batch and operating log sheets are correctly recorded and complied.
• Follows Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles when executing instructions and recording data, and adheres to Document Error management procedures if document error is observed
• Communicates clearly with his superintendent and colleagues and at the end of his shift, hand-over to his senior operations technician highlighting production status and any items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Do engineering-related work with technicians during process runs, plant configuration during the campaign change over or maintenance using hand-tools. E.g.: filters change, equipment replacement and other plant-care type engineering work. Prepares plant and equipment for engineering maintenance.
• Inspects and maintains house-keeping of his assigned area for clean and safe working conditions as well as ensuring that personal protection equipment, safety and fire-fighting equipment are maintained ready for use.
• Carries out fire fighting / first-aid duties as assigned and trained.
• Perform plant trouble shooting using appropriate problem solving tool to minimize plant stoppages and safety or quality incidents.
• Raise improvement ideas and implement initiatives to support department objectives.
• Carries out other related duties as assigned by the superintendent, production leader or senior technicians.

About the Role:

Execute assigned manufacturing tasks and activities according to production schedule to enable the timely production of product with the quality and quantity in compliance with the relevant GMP, safety and environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participation to the manufacturing processes. Execution of all assigned activities according to production schedule and in compliance with the valid GMP, work, operating, environmental and safety instructions and guidelines
• Batch record review on time and without error (production part). Proper and timely cleaning, preparation and sterilization of the production equipment and production rooms
• Responsible for production area housekeeping (cleaning, tidiness, 5S...). Comply with and enforce health, safety and environment rules and guidelines (HSE)
• Apply and enforce the current GMP rules. Sampling, aliquoting, distribution and performing of in-process controls
• Implementation of the delegated environmental monitoring for clean rooms and the delegated sampling of ultrapure water and pure steam if applicable
• Organization of immediate measures in the event of a fault, reporting abnormalities to the manager; experts and operational QA
• Execution of all assigned activities in compliance with the GMP, occupational safety and environmental guidelines
• Ensure / monitor the proper functioning of the equipment in order to detect early signs of anomalies. Take appropriate action in the event of a malfunction.
• Excellent documentation of the activities according to GMP regulations
• Manage the consumables supply necessary for the proper functioning of operations (e.g. filters, resins, connections, bags, reagents, gas, WCB...). Sort and eliminate waste related to production activities
• Daily checks of manufacturing equipment, support devices and rooms. Clearly and precisely document the necessary remarks in the batch records. Participate in the production schedule building-up (report delays, wrong activities duration...) and comply with it
• Commitment and participation to operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Proper handling of biological and chemical substances in the production plant. Willingness to continuously improve and analyze weak points. Participation in all training relevant to the position, maintenance of the relevant training evidence

• Occasional operations on weekends / public holidays and on-call duty on schedule if required and if applicable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Planning

• Responsible for overall Production Planning, Coordination, Scheduling, Dispatching, for Manufacturing of Moulds, SFG and FG.
• Plan and schedule workflow according to Production schedules and Track SFG and FG output.
• Analyze production specifications, plant capacity data, and perform calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and manpower requirements.
• Analyze and formulate reports from production planning and sales order fulfilment such as production reports, Fill Rate Report and Backlog Reports.
• Strategies and develop solutions to improve overall production planning processes and procedures.
• Responsible for updating all planning related procedures deemed required.
• Work Closely and involve in cross departments project to improve productivity and yield.
• Involved in New Product Introduction projects for any new customers and processes, to meet customers, launch date.
• Responsible for inventory management system and manufacturing monitoring system.

Order Fulfilment

• Responsible to gather and collate all customers demand forecast and challenge the input when necessary.
• Understand all market intelligence and drivers that will impact on the forecast and subsequent demand of customers.
• Monthly S&OP meeting with customers and prepare any status on open orders and update potential delays.
• Ensure Planner processed customer sales orders in accordance with procedure.
• Work closely to plan with Purchasing to ensure material availability for manufacturing.
• Be the first point of contact for all customer enquiries.
• Expedite Operations to meet customers orders’ due dates and revise schedule to adapt to any unforeseen circumstances.
• Work closely with Warehouse Personnel and Freight Forwarders to ensure prompt delivery of outgoing finished products to achieve on-time delivery.
• Generate monthly Fulfillment On-Time Report and analysis the gaps for improvement.

Inventory management

• Ensure SFG is replenished based on reorder point policy set for each product type.
• Select the optimum lot size for different product designs to reduce excessive stock and reduce obsolescence.
• Generate monthly SFG and FG Stock Report and review inventory status based on expiry, average sales and any EOL.
• Suggest Material Obsolescence and proceed to dispose according to procedure.
• Continuous efforts to reduce any obsolesce in SFG and FG.

Others

• Propose and implement any Supply Chain Projects to improve workflow and productivity.
• Provide production and logistics support.
• Act as a back-up Purchasing function
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in any Engineering/Business Studies/Supply Chain/Logistics or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of related industry experience in production planning and inventory management
• Proficiency in ERP system with good knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts is preferred within manufacturing environment.
• Conversant with manufacturing systems, practices, and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft (Excel)

Authorities and Responsibilities

1. Responsible to Provide primarily execute & support directives set forth at production department.
2. Fully responsible for First Article Run till Approval, and take charge of preliminary production run lots. This includes plan, monitor and control projects from the receipt of orders through completion and getting project acceptance by customers.
3. Review / prepare, administer and implement Process Routes, Inspection Plans and other operational procedures in accordance to the project specifications, client's surveillance requirements, and enforce the same on Operations in their project execution. This includes designing of Jig and Fixtures which is required for the machining process, as well as development of CNC Program for executing the machining run of the products.
4. Communicate and co-ordinate with inter-departments and relevant parties pertaining to the technical requirements and engineering aspects of the assigned projects.
5. Provide expertise and advisory support to enable operations are effectively and responsibly execute, and consistently maintain, quality workmanship and conformance to design and project specifications, and good manufacturing / engineering practices.
6. Respond and resolve technical / quality issues of the production orders among inter-departments / customers.
7. Participate in the implementation of risk assessment and risk control of medical devices

Competence Requirement:-

• NTC / Diploma / Degree in Precision Engineering / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Manufacturing field or equivalent.
• Fresh degree holder in engineering related field may be considered for Engineer position, while others educational holder must have relevant 3 – 8 years of experiences in precision engineering or equivalent field.
• Have sound and practical hands-on knowledge on the machining process such as CNC Mill / Turn is a plus.
• Preferably with hands on knowledge of CAD / CAM application software.
