Reporting to: Operations Director
Purpose: Responsible for ensuring the development of planned schedules, mileage coding and reports so that Go-Ahead Singapore meets its safety, customer experience, contractual and financial requirements.
Job Responsibilities/ Key Accountabilities
· Manage the Scheduling team in achieving contractual KPI for monthly schedules while delivering improvements in cost effectiveness.
· Oversee development of new service timetable and schedule, and amendment of existing services.
· Monitor schedule performance and rectify issues promptly, proposing and implementing improvements.
· Utilize data-driven methodology for analysis of new services and network effectiveness.
· Manage data on transport network and bus services, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Implementation of new bus services through working closely with operations and other internal and external stakeholders
· Proactively initiate, recommend, and implement best practice variations with our stakeholders.
· Assistance in production of roster planning and scheduling tender documentation.
· Stay updated on scheduling system technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on bus services, negotiating positive outcomes on operational issues.
· Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders on bus services and bus-stops related issues.
· Contribute in negotiating positive Public Transport outcomes with key stakeholders and Operational teams.
· Contribute to strategy and annual business plan, supporting operations projects and driving efficiency reforms.
· Responsible for the safety, health and wellbeing of the department staff and visitors to the department through effective safety leadership and compliance with the business Health and Safety Policy, standards, procedures, and processes.
Mileage
· Responsible for mileage coding, manage and oversee the mileage team in submission of daily reports to external stakeholders.
· Ensure that all loss mileages are accounted for in Go-Ahead Singapore, ensure accurate reporting of any loss or missing mileage to LTA.
· Collate data to accurately compute service request fee amount.
· Ensure strict compliance with LTA standards with regards to mileage coding and reporting.
· Produce detailed reports and prepare for regular audits.
· Present analysis to management and stakeholders to provide insights on the results.
Job Requirements
· Minimum Degree
· Experience in public transport operations.
· At least 2 years of experience in management/ supervision.
· Experience in the use of computer based scheduling and rostering tools, preferably in the Hastus software.
· Knowledge of PC based hardware and software applications including computerised bus scheduling and rostering.
· High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in advising senior managers and others on sensitive issues.
· Individual must be meticulous in nature and are comfortable working with figures.
· Positive candidate with excellent communication skills.
· Sound planning and organisational skills including the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
