Job Description

• Monitor strict compliance of “Permit to Work” system at worksite & explain the importance to workers at the time of safety talk/tool box meeting
• Coordinate Environmental Control Committee Meeting and implement all environmental control programs
• Maintain mandatory records and other documentation as required by the regulatory authorities
• Ensure compliance of operations with NEA and EHS regulations
• Prepare Site Environmental Control Report on a regular basis
• Conduct environmental control audit and investigations

Requirements

6 months Contract - Client Onboarding Officer private bank

· Support the Senior Management of Branch in ensuring with external and internal Regulations and thus actively manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks.

· Build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as the Front Office, Legal, Compliance and Risk Management teams.

· Assess AML/KYC risk and approval for new Standard and Medium Risk (Risk Countries) client relationships booked.

· Work closely with Head Office and overseas offices (particularly, Hong Kong, Dubai and Thailand) to provide input on account opening.

· Review and approve the on-boarding of new client relationships and accounts for Individuals, Domiciliary Companies, Legal Entities, Financial Institutions, Trusts, Fund, External Asset Managers, and ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures, and with MAS 626 Notices and Guidelines, and to mitigate risks (legal, regulatory and/or reputational) for the Bank

· Review and assess the adequacy of the Source of Wealth narrative and corroboration submitted by the Front for new to bank prospects and / or existing clients

· Review and assess the risk of opaque legal structures

· Address Sanction true matches, as well as true matches for other AML/CFT risks identified during the Bank’s Name Screening processes.

· Provide advice to Front employees on KYC/CDD- related matters

· Provide advice to the management and local risk committees on the AML/CFT risk of a client relationship.

· Strong commitment to quality service and a desire to drive continuous process improvement initiatives

· Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

· Ensure that KYC/CDD issues are properly identified, assessed and documented.

· Ensure that where KYC/CDD measures cannot be completed, the client relationship is not established or exited, and there is timely escalation to AML Controls, where suspicious activities /conduct is also noted.

· Ensure timely assistance and cooperation is rendered to MAS’ and law enforcements’ requests for information.

Requirements

· Strong analytical skills

· At least 1-3 years’ experience in either KYC On-Boarding and AML role, preferably in Private Banking

· A good degree and understanding of the Private Banking and Wealth Management industry

Responsibilities

· Foster a positive compliance culture within the Bank through advice, communication and training.

Job Purpose

The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum.

Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry.

In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and teach labs & practice modules.
• Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP).
• Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research.
• Ensure safety in labs.
• Participate and manage the industry project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• An innovative mindset in exploration, valuation, and application of new technologies in food product/ process/ packaging research and development.
• Involve in customer engagements, includes gathering of systems requirements and formulate scope.
• Involve in the full development life cycle, i.e., design, development, and testing.

Job Requirements

• A good degree in Food Science and Technology, or a related field. Masters and PhD would be advantageous.
• At least 10 or more years of working experience and proven track record of technical expertise with minimum 7 years of R&D experience in food industry.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in food ingredients/ packaging/ processing, and their applications in food products.
• Excellent understanding in food chemistry / microbiology / texture / sensory evaluation, with discerned laboratory skills for food analysis would be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in quality control and food safety management would be an added advantage.
• An innovative mindset in exploration, valuation, and application of new technologies in food product/ process/ packaging research and development.
• Experience in writing project grants will be an added advantage.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of industry practices to bring industry perspective to SIT.
• Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
• Strong supervisory skills and enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment.
