Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and maintaining existing accounts and responding to ad-hoc research enquires from potential clients. Primary focus will be to help the Company innovate and deliver services in a unique way to stay ahead in the market.
Detailed Responsibilities:
· Account Management
o Manage existing accounts independently and provide guidance to junior team members. Demonstrate comfort in dealing with clients in understanding and delivering their needs.
o Accept incoming briefs from senior management or directly from existing clients and prepare research proposals, research design independently, provide guidance to junior team members.
o Review costing sheet put together by junior team members and propose selling price to senior team members. Ensure there is sufficient lead time given for senior management to review costings and actively participate in discussion.
o Plan and develop analysis plan independently, produce high quality research reports with actionable recommendations that value adds to clients' business, actively participate and contribute to strategy slides, provide guidance to team members.
o Able to present professionally and credibly in front of clients.
· Professional Competency
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and application of different types of research methodologies (both quantitative and qualitative).
- Design research materials and provide guidance to junior team members, check materials prepared by junior team members.
- Prepare data-related specifications including edit specs, tables specs, data specs and code frames. Lead discussion with Operations and Data Analytics team to brief them on specifications and analysis plan. Prepare briefing documents (including timeline) including internal teams or external vendors and conduct briefing or attend briefing sessions together with junior team members to ensure clients' objectives are clearly communicated. Perform checks on all documents prepared by junior team members.
- Work with team members to solve project related issues, provide guidance on problem solving skills in collaboration with Operations/Data Analytics or external vendor.
o Produce insightful data visualizations/charts without error, perform quality checks on work performed by junior team members and provide guidance to junior team members
o Liaise with internal and external clients as well as vendors interaction at various project stages.
· People Management
o Play a role of mentor in helping junior team members by coaching them on various facets of the research, individual workload, and balance of project/ non-project work including goal setting, monitoring of junior team members' performance and growth.
Work closely with team members to resolve existing resource crunch for projects at hand. Able to identify potential manpower crunch for upcoming projects and work closely with senior team members to mitigate it
Job Qualifications/Skills
· A Bachelor’s degree or higher; business administration, psychology, history, economics, media/communications or political science
· At least 5 years of experience in relevant industry (market research agencies or clients’ insights team)
· Strong writing capabilities and ability to synthesise information accurately
· Proven track record in client / account management
· Solution-oriented, proactive and team oriented.

· Has experience in managing small teams
