The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is inviting applications for a Manager / Assistant Senior Manager in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide support to the GIS Unit and its GIS educational programmes. The GIS Unit spearheads the research, training and applications of GIS in the Department and aims to extend beyond the academic realm to foster an Asia-focused GIS ecosystem with global reach. 5. Contribute to GIS teaching in the Department.
• Help teach GIS-related courses (regular courses and short-term professional training) upon request and in accordance with expertise.

Qualifications

The following are required:
• At least a Master’s degree in a relevant subject from a reputable institution
• High level of written and oral communication skills
• Analytical, meticulous, well-organised and able to multi-task
• Able to work independently and as a team player
• IT savvy, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Proficiency with GIS / remote sensing software

The following are desirable:
• Previous working experience in a relevant area, such as computer laboratory management or marketing academic programmes in tertiary institutions
