Job Description

Data Analysis and Visualization:

· Utilize Python and other relevant tools to collect, clean, and analyze data sets.

· Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis and predictive modeling.

· Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations for stakeholders using libraries like Matplotlib, Plotly, or D3.js.

Software Development:

· Design and implement solutions in C# for data processing and application development.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven functionalities into existing systems.

· Maintain and optimize codebase for performance and scalability.

Scripting and Automation:

· Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for system automation and server management.

· Develop scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes.

Networking and Server Management:

· Manage and configure networking protocols, ensuring seamless communication between systems.

· Administer and maintain server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2. Proficiency in C#, Python, and SQL for data manipulation and software development.

3. Experience with data visualization libraries and techniques.

4. Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

5. Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.

6. Familiarity with server administration in Windows/Linux environments.

7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

· Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Purpose of the Role

As part of the System Integration (SI) Team of a multi-million railway turnkey project the SI Engineer will be instrumental in the successful delivery of a complete upgraded Automated People Mover (APM) system. During the design phase of a railway turnkey project, several interfaces are defined, and information are shared between different subsystems and suppliers according to project requirements and milestones. During the testing and commissioning phase, the interfaces require to be validated while meeting the end Customer’s requirements. The System Integration engineer role is, but not limited to, produce test report, manage configuration, change review board, update ICDs/ System level documentation, lead system integration test and change review board.

Responsibilities

• To define and allocate requirements, analyses technical risks, defines interfaces.
• Keep close coordination with the verification and validation, and testing activities with the project teams and participate in the testing and communication activities as required.
• Lead the integration and validation of the internal and external interfaces between subsystems
• Write test procedure required to demonstrate the functionalities at system level
• Provides all the necessary support to the System Integration Manager
• Assure preparation of technical documentation for discussions with customer and suppliers
• Assist and assure design solutions, preparation/execution of various Design Reviews (internal & external) in accordance to the Alstom Engineering Processes
• Lead System Integration Testing

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree with 7 years experience in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, or other relevant degree or background.
• Proven knowledge in power supply, distribution for railway system. Wayside and Vehicles interfaces/integration is a must.
• Knowledge in other railway system such as Signalling, Communication, SCADA , and rolling stock is an added advantage
• Knowledge on network topologies and interfaces for serial, ethernet, TCP/IP protocol, etc is a must
• Knowledge in development or integration of CBTC Systems
• Knowledge in Rolling Stock Architecture and Interfaces
• Detailed knowledge of in MS Office.
• Knowledge in DOORS, Design tools (Visio, AutoCAD, etc) is a plus
• Very good knowledge in English is required

Responsibilities for printer technician

· Support other IT equipment during low volume of barcode printer issues

· Installation, service, testing and troubleshooting of all hardware and software programs for the customer on site and in the field

· Troubleshoot computer hardware issues, operating systems, and antivirus and software issues

· Investigate and resolve trouble tickets quickly and efficiently providing root cause analysis as required

· Respond to, evaluate and prioritize incoming support requests, maintain SLAs and document support requests in ticketing system (ServiceNow)

· Perform installation and configuration of workstations, printers, cable distribution systems and other related equipment as applicable

· Excellent hardware diagnosing and repair skills, including disassembly and re-assembly of products

· Experience in network design, installation, and maintenance

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to participate and engage in project meetings and technical work sessions with co-workers and customers

· The ability to complete training classes, personal study, and certification exams as assigned

Qualifications for printer technician

· Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcome

· High School diploma or equivalent and 2-4+ year's printer/copier service or industry related experience

· Repairs & performs preventative maintenance on hardware (black / white or color digital copiers)

· Utilizes systems in place for service call tickets, parts usage and transfer of inventory

· Will utilize websites, technical manuals, handbooks and technical publications to keep current with new equipment and enhancements to old

· Valid & Clean driver's license reliable transportation a must

You Will Be a Great Fit If You Have:

• Strong background in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) role, Infrastructure Engineering or Application support with DevOps

• Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more programming languages – Python/ Java and configuration management/ IAC tools – Ansible/ Terraform

• Strong experience in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with hands-on working knowledge in Jira, Confluence, Gitlab

• Experience in container technologies using Docker or Kubernetes

• Experience in AWS cloud architectures and infrastructure management (Terraform / CloudFormation)

• Experience in design and implementation of observability platforms

• Experience driving major production incidents and organised incident retrospective Meetings

• Good understanding of and experience in review and providing recommendation covering the AWS well architected framework

• Understanding of IT Service Management and Operations for Cloud

• Familiarity with the Singapore Government Tech Stack is preferred but not a must
