Job Description:
The CD&S Manager will be responsible for maintaining current relationships and establishing new relationships to promote CME Group's products and services to APAC based proprietary trading groups (PTGs) which include market makers, high frequency trading firms, and other prop firms.
Sales activity will mainly consist of active account management within a portfolio of existing clients and will also include developing new clients in the region that will contribute to the overall revenue target or create a strategic opportunity.
This role is within the Client Development and Sales (CD&S) organization and will be reporting into the Senior Director Props APAC. As part of CD&S, the Manager will be responsible for CRM reporting, pipeline management, account management, campaign management, cross referral and cross selling, country plan management and other sales initiatives. Generating new business from existing and prospective customers by educating them on the benefits and opportunities that CME Group products & services provide to Proprietary Trading Groups
Managing existing client relationships, building valuable and positive customer experience
Participating in the development of and is accountable for effective execution of sales strategy
Working with internal teams to identify prospects and prioritize new client targets
Leveraging Business Line Management subject matter experts, Marketing and other CME specialist to position products, provide tools and educate clients
Developing an understanding of all the CME business lines in order to help facilitate cross product development and enhance cross sell opportunities
Participating in the development of and accountable for the execution of segment specific sales strategy. Utilizes CRM system to record and track sales activity and outreach
Promoting membership opportunities to obtain new clients and grow volume through lower fee structures and participating in efforts to educate customers
Acting as liaison with the segment relevant associations to gain a stronger penetration of the segment community and educate the trade association on CME Group. Participating in relevant industry conferences and events.
Job Requirements:
5+ years of sales and/or client facing experience within the front office of financial services, either at an exchange operator, bank, broker, prop trading firm or technology vendor. Pre-existing relevant client relationships within the PTG segment are an advantage
Degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another analytic discipline preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Good understanding of proprietary trading, market makers, market microstructure and good knowledge of CME Group’s core futures and options products
Analytical mindset - able to analyze information, identify problems and trends, and solve complex problems
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Tableau and SQL databases
Good teamwork spirit, strong interpersonal / communication / presentation skill
Experience in electronic trading in traditional markets is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to easily connect with people using both written and verbal communication skills
