REQUIRED EXPERIENCES

• Previous experience as Chief Engineer/ Master for a minimum of 8 months on relevant type of ships
• A proven track record as Superintendent for a minimum of 2 year in a shore-based Shipping Company will have an advantage.

Job Scope

• Front-of-house duties such as managing the customer flow and seating arrangement, cashiering, order taking, serving of food and beverages, clearing of used culinary and utensils, answering of any enquiries from customers
• Back-of-house duties such as food preparation in the kitchen from cutting, slicing, packing, arranging of food items/ingredients, proper storage of food products, stock inventory

As Duty Manager, you are required to provide guest services as well as supervision, direction, and leadership to all Front Office personnel in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards.

Job Descriptions

• Oversee the lobby operation ensuring that guests are handled quickly and efficiently in all their needs.
• To provide general management support throughout the hotel at all times by monitoring guest satisfaction, service standard, security, employee activity, physical defects with main focus on front office operation.
• Co-ordinates with all operations department concerned in order to maintain front office function properly, (defects room, room cleanliness)
• Ensure that departmental standard, policies, and procedures are maintained.
• Lead a team to respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Update incident report for any critical incident such as staff / guest injury and damage to hotel properties.
• Attend to guests’ enquiries, problems, and complaints promptly, efficiently, and courteously to the satisfaction of guests and interest of the Hotel.
• Check and ensure that the Front Office and public areas are clean, in-order and all operating equipment are in good working order.
• Conduct and ensures the neat of appearance of all Front Office team.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or other relevant qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ related experience in a full-service hotel or mid-range hotel.
• Commitment to work rotating shift and any day, including weekends and public holidays.
• Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties
• High attention to details.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• To carry out daily preventive and corrective maintenance of AV systems
• Routine servicing and maintain effective functioning of all equipment (AV/M&E), to carry out trouble shoot to rectify faulty equipment or components during emergency, as well as client’s amenities
• Oversee operations, set-up and upkeep of cleanliness in the LT, Studios Auditorium, Theatre, Training, Meeting and Experience rooms to ensure that they are always serviceable
• Assist in events and any activities around the campus as and when required
• Liaise with event organizers on logistics support and event set up requirements
• Check and ensure there are sufficient spare parts and accessories for technicians to perform replacement of faulty parts

Requirement :

• NTC 2/3, NITEC Mechanical/ Electrical and Communication or equivalent with 3 years of working experience with AV System and Computer Knowledge.
• Possess out-going personality, inquisitive mindset to explore and uncover technicalities to everyday problems.
• Able to communicate and write in English for effective execution of routine duties

• Place orders for food and supplies
• Ensure smooth operations and allocation of duties
• Ensure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and to expected standards
