We are looking for an experienced General Manager (GM) with a passion for nurturing every child to become an everyday hero who drives positive change for himself/herself, others and the world, who also cares about animal welfare, wildlife conservation, and sustainability.
As GM, you will be responsible for setting the overarching vision, strategy and execution pathway whilst being an excellent operator themselves, executing “Jobs To Be Done” at speed. Mentoring and motivating teammates through each critical phase to achieve product market fit. The GM would also be accountable to the Board and external investors, if any.
In this role, you will be responsible for :
Strategy & Execution
· Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies to achieve business objectives and growth targets, from launch to scale.
· Identify and articulate product roadmap, whilst strategically targeting whitespace opportunities.
· Lead company operations, financial and organizational management, and overall growth strategy and milestones (e.g product launch, customer acquisition and revenue)
· Drive day-to-day activities, ensuring all teams are working together effectively
Commercials & Investor Relations
· Lead go-to-market and monetization strategy to scale business in Singapore and beyond
· Own P&L and cash flow, overseeing financial health and managing budgets
· Drive fundraising effort to ensure financial viability of the venture in the long-term
· Build and nurture relationships with investors, to secure funding for future growth
Sales & Business Development
· Lead the sales and business development efforts, working with the team to identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the company's customer base and revenue streams.
· Develop deep relationships with C-Suite executives, key customers, strategic partners and external stakeholders
· Leverage competitive advantage to negotiate complex commercial contracts and close deals
Hiring & People Management
· Hire world-class Talent and grow teams from scratch, including hiring of key positions
· Build and manage a high-performing team, providing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities to help employees grow and thrive.
· Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
You should have:
· 10+ years’ experience founding, building, leading and scaling products into fast-growing businesses;
· Product experience at early-stage ventures or tech companies, defining product strategy and roadmap, prioritizing features, defining the MVP, sprint planning and agile iteration;
· $5M+ P&L ownership experience as CEO or leader of a product-led business;
· Related experience in sectors like EdTech, Gaming, Conservation, Sustainability, Tourism;
· Experience building B2CB or B2B2C products and businesses;
· In-depth understanding of the local market in Singapore and Southeast Asia;
· Experience building teams from the ground up, especially managing Digital Talent such as Product, Design and Engineering;
· Experience raising external funding from institutional investors in numerous stages of funding growth cycle (e.g. Seed, Series A, Series B);
· Commercially astute in structuring and negotiating deals, whilst managing budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting, to make strategic financial decisions that align with the company's goals;
· Exceptional Board and C-Suite engagement experience - You are resilient and have experience navigating complex stakeholders, e.g. investors, board, commercial partners, customers;
