About the Supervisor role:
We are seeking an individual who is interested to learn and commit to being a detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services, managing logistics and supply chain activities, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet cost, quality, and timeline goals.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.
- Supervise the procurement team, providing guidance and support in daily activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels to meet operational needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Oversee the shipping, receiving, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to optimize logistics and minimize costs.
- Evaluate and improve current logistics processes to enhance overall efficiency.
- Resolve issues related to procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to make informed decisions.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma in Engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Preferably in the Oil & Gas or Mining industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software.
- Familiarity with logistics software and transportation management systems.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
