Assistant Restaurant Manager (Jiang-Nan Chun)

What you will do

Supporting the Restaurant Manager in leading our Jiang-Nan Chun team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures/standards, and training programs while fostering a positive work environment to achieve company objectives. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of front-of-house equipment, oversee employment performance appraisals, and address guest issues promptly. Manage service manpower planning, stock control, and maximize sales opportunities with comprehensive menu knowledge. Facilitate communication within the front-of-house team, and oversee new hire onboarding and training. Manage cash handling procedures, implement health and safety regulations, and contribute to smooth restaurant operations while upholding unparalleled standards of presentation and service.

• Minimum of 2 years of service experience in a luxury hotel or Michelin restaurant, including 1 year in a supervisory role.

Schedule & Hours:

This position requires a person with a flexible schedule and the ability to work on a rotating split-shift basis, including weekends, and holidays

What the role involves:

1. Need to manage a team of Sales Supports and Helpdesk, on top of supporting accounts.
2. Need to demonstrate leadership skills to the team and to work closely with other team leaders to achieve organisational goals and objectives
3. Liaise and coordinate with Yusen global offices/agents with regards to sales-related enquiries and routing orders received.
4. Provide in-house support to the Sales Personnel & own accounts on sales quotations, RFIs, SOPs, RFQs and enquiries pertaining to targeted and current accounts
5. Need to physically front clients and support existing key accounts on the maintenance and business development.
6. Need to take the lead on the escalations and business implementations of the allocated existing clients and organise the needed meetings internally with corresponding business units.
7. For accounts supported, need to collaborate with network offices & Tender team to reinforce strategy for tender nominations.
8. Follow-up on client quotations and enquiries within stipulated time period.
9. Generate weekly/monthly reports for customers, in accordance to their requested format.
10. Follow up on clients outstanding payment in terms of escalations, invoice verification issues and handle rate disputes.
11. Maintain customer tariffs in server adequately
12. Manage FMC filing and rates maintenance for accounts with which we are the Business Owner.
13. Arrange credit facility approval for new clients.
14. Follow up and arrange triangle shipment billing instructions with respective business units
15. Visit customers independently to support their current business needs, with the aim of business retention.
16. Take the lead in discussions with client and AFF/OFF members with regards to service recovery, first level of escalations, etc.
17. Facilitate on preparation of periodic business reviews.
18. Perform other job duties as requested by the Immediate Superior / HOD

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of relevant working experience in freight forwarding/logistic/supply chain industry or related field with leadership role working experience.

Work week

5-day work week (Mondays to Fridays: 8.30 am to 6.00 pm)

1. The Construction Manager shall play a key role in the conceptual development of the various construction projects and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation
2. He/She will be required to plan, lead and monitor progress and performance against the project plan whilst managing the day-to-day operational aspects of projects which includes manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedule and cost control
3. Responsible for cost management to manage projects within approved budgets, include materials, manpower and machinery cost control for new and running projects
4. Responsible for exercising timely instructions to deal with the results of delays, or emergencies at construction project sites
5. Reviewing manpower planning and monitoring of work schedules to ensure orderly delegation of jobs and smooth operation. Ensure to exercise effectively safe and economical methodology and enforces project standards
6. To maintain close collaboration with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers and all stakeholders to minimise errors in the process to achieve smooth completion of projects
7. To liaise closely with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, relevant authorities and developers in resolving site issues and authorities compliance issue
8. To handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements:
1. 7 years relevant working experience within the Construction industry
2. Should possess a minimum qualification of Degree/Masters in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent qualification
3. Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently
4. Able to work under stress and complete tasks within set deadlines
5. Fluency in spoken and written Japanese would be advantageous as the incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate with Japan Head Office

Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the IT Service Management team. This is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage, develop, enhance and support company’s IT Service management platform. Drive strategic development and enhance its usability and integration with other tools and process to maximise value.
• Drive IT Operational Service Delivery and management activities, e.g. Incident, Problem, Change, Patch, Configuration and Asset management processes. This includes support of IT operational incidents after office hours.
• Support management and drive collaboration of day to day operational activities across various towers and stakeholders from datacentre facilities, network and platforms
• Manage and drive the IT Service Provider’s performance for IT Operations and ensure Service Level Agreements have been fulfilled and improvement plans to be established
• Serve as the Point of Contact for IT initiatives’ performance, services and changes.
• Facilitate system and service handover to the IT operations for any new applications and major enhancements

Requirements

• Degree in IT related discipline & IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification
• Minimum 5 – 8 yrs of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and IT Service Management
• Experienced in project management for IT Infrastructure initiatives, scripting, system admin capabilities, service automation and related technologies.
• Knowledge of actual development and Hands-on administration on ServiceNow Platform. Certification in ServiceNow ITSM CAS, CAD or CIS preferred
