• Sourcing & Contract Management – Perform Source to Contract process, lead and perform negotiations with suppliers. Leading RFx creation/management, market research/analysis, data collection/analysis, and contract management (cost, terms and conditions, SOWs, MSAs, etc.).
• Supplier Management – Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluation and establish Preferred Supplier List jointly with business stakeholders by relationship management so as to deliver maximum productivity benefits.
• Cost management – Ability to analyze total cost of acquisitions/ ownership and provide optimum value to business. Deliver cost saving goals, delivering value beyond savings.
• Business Process improvement – Ability to work with business to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the process.

Internal and External Relationship Management

• In charge of daily operational purchasing activities which includes planning, monitoring, communicating, processing and following up on purchase orders with the suppliers.

Job Summary

The Contract Specialist will act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts or subcontracts. This includes handling standard supplier contracts in the field of 3rd party personnel, equipment, MRO, etc., as well as managing subcontractor agreements. About the Role

• Draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts (including sub-contracts) in line with templates provided by Legal and Fugro policies.
• Act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team, participate in commercial and legal discussions with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated. Raise awareness of contractual risks with internal stakeholders.
• Incorporate contract-flow down clauses from the client contract into the subcontract, in alignment with the Legal team
• Ensure proper procurement contract management, comprising negotiating the terms and conditions of contracts. Procurement contracts also include certifying compliance with the terms and conditions and documenting and agreeing on any changes by both parties.
• Promote the principles of good procurement and contract management practice throughout the company
• Responsible for preparation/review of all relevant contractual correspondence exchanged during project execution to and from the suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Monitor all contract deliverables and the contract performance as well as identify risks and opportunities. Support handling of supplier claims.
• Assumes overall responsibility for all contractual and commercial issues related to the management of change, including ensuring claims are issued within the timeframes set out in the contract and receiving all required internal approvals preparing, interfacing with involved functions, and negotiating any claims against partners and subcontractors
• Works closely with internal stakeholders: Supply Chain (Procurement), Finance, Legal, Insurance, Fleet Services, project managers, operations managers and various business stakeholders.
