Job Description

This person will report to the Group Financial Controller and Group Tax Senior Manager.

Treasury Responsibilities:

• Supervise and generate cash forecasting reports on a weekly and monthly basis, collaborating with regional finance teams for necessary inputs.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash forecasting, ensuring accuracy.
• Coordinate with third-party providers such as banks in the FX hedging process, providing back-office support for FX deal confirmation and recording hedge accounting requirements.
• Assist in external debt administrative matters and comply with lender's requirements.
• Populate the month-end template for the posting of accounting journals related to treasury transactions.

Ad-hoc Projects:

• Monitor and manage the progress of work with external advisors to meet internal timelines effectively.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal reports as needed.

The Successful Applicant

• CA/ CPA qualified or studying
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word) - Advanced, required.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Project management skills and experience of implementing projects would be helpful to support in current project management duties.
• Basic knowledge of cash forecasting, FX trading requirements required.
• Basic understanding of corporate taxes (VAT/GST, international, corporate and transfer pricing).
• Ability to come up with solutions, lead change, seek continuous process improvement - with an approach that takes due consideration of the ability of teams to absorb change
• Ability to navigate through complex situations and matrix organisation structure, to deliver results amongst different stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

• Participate in various business meetings to gather technical requirements, propose architectural designs, and review quotations/proposals from our vendors/partners
• Oversee the strategic direction and approach of programs spanning various projects and component activities, fostering stakeholder support for plans, commitments, and changes.
• Aid business stakeholders in breaking down intricate business requirements into Epics and User Stories, facilitating seamless delivery by Technology teams through respective backlogs with minimal cross-product coordination.
• Lead program delivery, governance, and reporting to stakeholders, including the Product owner in the business, the head of a service line, or Product within Technology.
• Champion the implementation of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean), aligning with corresponding transformation frameworks at the organization.
• Ensure the technology program aligns with overarching strategies and contributes to the achievement of strategic objectives.
• Monitor the adoption and adherence of all Technology practices and associated tools within the Programme.
• Effectively manage program budgets, encompassing headcount and capitalization of software delivery.
• Handle negotiations and management of third-party contracts with Technology suppliers, overseeing service agreement monitoring.
• Drive the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices.
• Take charge of reporting progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to committees, providing recommendations to influence decision-making and ensure continual progress towards delivery and benefits realization.
• Collaborate closely with developers, engineers, user experience designers, program managers, business and QA analysts, and senior business stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Facilitate coordination among internal and external teams, assess pre-integration tasks, and define the necessary collaboration required to navigate the roadmap.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Business Administration, or Social Sciences with a focus on psychology, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in large-scale technology migration and integration is highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding of General Insurance product manufacturing and distribution processes, spanning end-to-end technology knowledge.
• Proven experience in managing extensive programs within a global environment, showcasing a robust track record of successful business and IT delivery across global, regional, and local structures.
• Background in the Insurance and/or Financial Services Industry.
• Ability to assess processes and system use, emphasizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for progress tracking and change management.
• Proficient in developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capable of aligning programs with a clear vision to achieve business success.
• Value-focused mindset, dedicated to delivering measurable business value, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing Return on Investment (ROI).
