• Provide remote hands service and onsite support to internal and customers
• Liaising with end users and vendors/Telco providers on network implementation, requirements and maintenance support
• Manage vendors or contractors in Meet-Me-Room, Cabinets and Client premises when services are required
• Responsive to troubleshoot and solve L1 Data Center and customer network issues
• Perform physical network infrastructure deployment and cross connect provisioning for internal and customers requirement

Job Responsibilities

• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers towards research and innovation in microbial gas fermentation (e.g. conversion of CO2 to acetate)
• Have an interest in developing biological solutions for decarbonization, sustainable chemical production, and circularity for plastics
• Design and execute experiments based on proposed project scope
• Analyze data, interpret results, and plan next steps
• Routinely perform microbial strain screening, enzyme engineering and expression, anaerobic (and aerobic) fermentation in bioreactors
• Maintain accurate records, analyze data and present research findings at conferences, meetings, and to internal / external stakeholders
• Update project and prepare summary reports and presentations regularly
• Contribute to devise proposals to seek competitive funding
• Write and publish high impact papers in peer-reviewed journals, alongside preparation of technical disclosures, patent applications
• Supervise and mentor junior researchers in the team

Job Requirements

• A PhD degree with substantial laboratory experience is required, preferably in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or Industrial Microbiology/ Biotechnology.
• Possess proficiency in microbial strain screening and hands-on experience with anaerobic/aerobic fermentation in bioreactors.
• Preferred experience with new bioreactor prototype design, fabrication and operation. Prior experience with pilot-plant scale fermentation and lab-set-up and equipment procurement is desirable.
• Preferred capability to consistently conduct enzyme engineering and expression.
• A team player who is self-motivated and enjoy applied research work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience in grant writing or grant application is good-to-have.
• Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills.

Job Description

The Assistant Customer Support Engineer (ACSE) will be responsible for executing the functions of MCR (Master Control Room) which is a 24/7 service. This includes :

• Monitoring all permanent & occasional services in MCR, follow the SOP to restore the service in case of any issues. Report and escalate the incident to the next level if needed.
• Handle the customer enquiries and booking request.
• Arrange the resources and co-ordinate with other Regions and third parties for the ad hoc transmission & turnaround services.
• Input the booking request into the booking system, ScheduAll.
• Operate the measuring and monitoring tools to ensure all services are meeting the specifications.
• Monitor and carry first line operations for the facility equipment, such as but not limited to Antenna Control, Up/downlink RF platform, compression & transmission platform. Report to the supporting engineer and corresponding vendors if any anomaly were detected.
• Monitor the facility infrastructure, such as but not limited to Power Supply System & Air Conditioning System and report to the corresponding vendors if any anomaly were detected.
• Roles & duties are subject to change according to the changing of business needs.
• Need to work on 12 hours rotating shift.

Research Associate Position in genome editing lab

The CRISPR and Genome Editing Lab led by Assistant Professor HU Chunyi, is a dynamic addition to the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore. Currently, we are in search of a dedicated Research Associate to contribute to a research project focused on the study of CRISPR-Cas immunity systems and the development of genome editing tools.

We invite applications from highly motivated individuals with a background and/or keen interest in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Exceptional laboratory skills are a prerequisite and demonstrated experience in molecular/microbiology would be highly advantageous. The position entails active participation within our multidisciplinary research team, which is dedicated to advancing knowledge in biochemistry and cell biology.
