The Carney lab investigates the cell dynamics in the skeletal system and epithelia. Its analyses have implications for fundamental cell biology, evolution, genetics and clinical underpinnings of disease. Guided by issues facing the clinic, the lab has recently modelled diseases affecting skeletal system and has developed a model of bone necrosis.

We are currently recruiting a Research Associate to work on interrogating a zebrafish model of a clinical bone necrosis. Working closely with a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, the job will include molecular biology, animal husbandry, cloning, transgenesis and genotyping as well as imaging approaches.
