As the Senior Workplace Safety and Health Officer, you are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. Your main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to WSHE legislation and regulations (WSH act and Environment)

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Identifying and recommending best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Assess the company’s HSSE Management System to identify any deviation, weakness or significant change in organization, risk control measures and provide recommendation for improvement
• Conduct or coordinate In-House Training Program, Safety Promotions or other safety-related activities for Staff and EPC Contractors
• Perform safety audits and inspection of the Company’s worksites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
• Assist in maintaining certifications such as ISO45001, BizSafe Partner/ BizSafe Star certificates.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by HOD

b. Ensure that they follow and adhere to the structure in the Home.

c. Ensure that comfort, personal hygiene, and the safety needs of the residents are attended to.

d. Monitor the residents to ensure that they are physically safe and do not partake in any risky behaviour or activities which may cause themselves or others physical injury – especially during playtime.

e. Monitor & report to the Assistant Manager and Director of Care & Development of any complaints from residents, family members, volunteers or visitors to the Home.

f. Monitor & report to the Assistant Manager and Director of Care & Development of any signs or suspicions of physical, sexual or emotional abuse or self-harm.

g. Monitor & manage the behaviour of the residents by encouraging & rewarding good behaviour and by preventing, discouraging or discipline misbehaviour in strict adherence to the rules & discipline procedures of the Home.

h. You are required to strictly supervise residents, the use of electronic devices; adhere to a strict locked toilet & “one-at-a-time” policy; teach rules and provide reminders about good touch & bad touch; and check in with residents to flag any behavioural concerns and issues.

i. Carry out operational interventions according to Care Plan

j. Provide timely feedback on the residents behaviours to the Unit Committee and participate in department meeting, care plan meeting and houseparent meeting.

3) Oversee the healthcare needs of children by being alert to their general health conditions

Job Description:

• Interview service users and assess their current condition, needs, strengths and weaknesses
• Address each case as a unit and set tailored measurable goals
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
• Offer information and counseling on the best course of action during sessions
• Maintain accurate records and report on clients’ status
• Act as a key-worker and cooperate with multidisciplinary teams
• Refer clients to community services to help them in recovery
• Handle Physical and Virtual Safety Checks

Requirements:

• Any qualification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a social worker/ counselling or similar
• Working knowledge of social theories and practices
• Social perceptiveness and empathy
• Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships
• Ability to converse in additional languages and/or dialects is preferred.
• Strong command in English is a must
• Singaporeans Only
• Possess own vehicle
